** SMURF STORY **
Hello everyone!
This week my VIP appearance was at the party of the year... Matilda’s 8th birthday!
I had my sidekick Enzo with me to make sure all of the guests got enough pony attention as, due to my size, there really isn’t enough of me to go around (*sigh*).

Well done to our vet Tam for winning the Onley Equine Vets sponsored 1.05m British Showjumping at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre yesterday! She also won the Discovery class beforehand so a good day in the ribbons!
Here she is in the warmup with her horse Danny, filmed by our other Onley based vet, Ashley! 🐴🎥
** CLINICAL CASE **
Earlier this week the below horse was presented to our vet Andy with persistent mucoid eye discharge. This can indicate a blockage of the naso-lacrimal duct. This structure normally drains fluid from the eye into the nose. If this duct gets blocked fluid overflows from the eye. In this video a small cannula is placed within the exit of the duct and saline is flushed through to remove debris from the duct. Saline can be seen dripping from the lower eyelid, indicating the duct is now clear.
Watch the following video to see what our dental vet Mike has been up to in the clinic today!
What is this? And can you guess the depth?
Comment below and we will post the answer with the full story later on tonight...
Who remembers Coco the Shetland pony from last year?
Coco suffered a rupture to his peroneous tertius, resulting in instability of his hock and stifle.
When visiting Coco earlier this week, we couldn't resist taking this short video to show you all how he is getting on! We think it is safe to say he has made a wonderful recovery; so much so, Coco has successfully returned to his "day job" as a party pony!
Well done to his owner for the hard work and patience throughout the recovery and rehabilitation period, it has definitely paid off!
See our post below for a reminder of how Coco presented when brought to the clinic for investigation last year.
