📅 The countdown is on – from 10 June 2024 all pet cats over 20 weeks old must be microchipped and registered on a compliant database.

🐾 Microchipping is the quickest and most effective way of ensuring lost pets can be identified. Animals that are microchipped are more than twice as likely to be reunited with their owners.

Today's fun fact Friday is all about our lovely adoption boy, Olaf 🐈

Did you know that cats like Olaf with pure white coats are quite rare, white cats only make up about 5% of the total cat population!

Have you noticed Olaf's different eye colours? This characteristic is called heterochromia, it's caused by something in their genes which prevents the melanin from developing in just one of their eyes. There's nothing wrong with him, it's just a beautiful quirk! You can even get heterochromia in humans though it's much rarer!
