This is Brie, she's nearly 6 months now. She's had two baths and blow dries, every month from 6 weeks old. (She is a pup I bred myself so the first few baths were done at home with her brother and sisters)

I highly recommend starting pups from as soon as they have completed the puppy vaccinations they accept being groomed far easier later in life.

This also stands for all socialising with everyday things. Other dogs, people, bike's, prams cars and trips to the vets anything else that your pup may come into contact with throughout its life.

Peggy's owner has booked the puppy package.
Designed and catered to the individual puppy under 6 months. It is so that they get familiar with all the sights, sounds and smells in the grooming room.

Each pup Learns at a different pace to accept being handled, bathed, blow Dried, clipped, scissored, ears cleaned and nail trims. Being on grooming table and with another person other than it's owner, it's all a lot to take in for a pup.

Desensitizing them to all the above is really important for dogs who need regular grooming for their entire life. With your pup you need to take it nice and slow and introduce these things at an early age. This way they will always accept being groomed or given heath checks without getting stressed.

Temporary grooming table! until my new one arrives.

The new one comes with a pressure Matt/yoga mat for dogs with joint problems or ones who take longer to groom. It is fantastic for reducing the pressure on their joints during grooming.
