I really enjoy helping people identify their horsemanship goal and then work with them to achieve it no matter how big or small. I am patient and sympathetic to the needs of both horse and rider. I aim to give my clients the techniques and confidence needed to build a long lasting bond with their horse or pony.

Huge congratulations to this partnership. Star Hendy and Dream who she got a little over a year ago. we broke him in together and Star started to ride him away and take him out to competition. He’s been up to racing school a few times and we trained him at home on the gallops too.
He was 2nd on his first outing at lingfield, he then got a little too forward and running away a bit at Horseheath to finish 7th and Ascot 5th.
We went away and worked very hard on the areas that we needed to , basically unscrambling his little brain and getting Star a little fitter .
He then came out to win at wincanton last weekend followed up by another win at Cheltenham this weekend!!!!!!
They have worked tirelessly for the last few years practice practice practice , ups and downs , bad weather and ground .
We often wondered if it’s worth if.
Then to come out these past two races and ride like that has just made my day!!!!!
The penny has definitely dropped and we are all reaping the benefits and having the greatest time 🤩🥰🏇🥂🥳
well done team I Hendy I absolutely love working with you guys. X###x
I’m on the lookout for some minimus jumping under 50 cm for some newbies xx
Hello everyone, busy busy couple of months. Riding some beautiful horses and catching up with some lovely equestrians.
Lots of things going on today and I must take the opportunity to say very best of luck to my friends doing the silver spur Hunt race, today. I cannot wait to catch up with you later, and Find out about how it all went.
The lovely Star Hendy has gone down to Wincanton pony racing, still searching for that win ……could it be today , again, Looking forward to catching up later?
Then me and I’m off to Wellington to warm a horse up for the para Dressage competition
Best of luck to everybody out and about today and remember we wouldn’t be there without our horses so big thanks to our equine friends 🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇
This is beautiful tango a lovely horse that I have the pleasure of working with.
He e is Spanish and although he is being ridden the canter is yet to develop and we never come away from groundwork.
Here we are at an arena hire. This was his third time here and his best time too, I love watching them learning and developing and growing. 🏇😍
This is my new project. Otis, I’ve got him for a month to school for somebody he’s a lovely boy. He’s 6yrs he showed Jump as a 4yr old old but hasn’t done alot since.
Im doing some schooling , education and I’m looking forward to getting him out and getting some experience under his belt.
Happy Tuesday!!!! I just went for my monthly dressage lesson with Wanda Bendish on the lovely Guapo, we really got ourselves together a lot more today with some great collection, piaffe, Passage and a couple of flying changes to boot, I absolutely love these sessions and I’m so glad they’re finally starting to come together a bit more 🏇🏿💙🏇🏿💙🥰👍👍
Yesterday, I was asked to take a beautiful showjumping pony to a competition.
I was told, he had potential stage fright and hadn’t done a clear round over any height for about six months but jumping at home confidently 1.20cm
I decided to take it right back and try and build the confidence up again .
After having a little session on Saturday afternoon. We entered him for the 50cm 60cm 70cm classes at Stevenage and District Riding club, at Chesfield Manor Stables.
He warmed up beautifully, however, when I took him in, he refused the first jump 🙈🙈🙈 we had a little chat and when he had relaxed again, we went jumping, clear round, jump off and finished 4th.
I was very pleased with him and his attitude to make the right decision.
Kyra then got on and jumped round clear plus the Jump off and won the class. 💃🕺🙌🏼 She was beaming from ear to ear and both mother and daughter and pony were very very happy.
Had lots of cuddles continued with some positive warming up, including lots of transitions, and keeping everything, quiet, calm and steady.
They went back in and finished 2nd in the 70s with another double clear !!!!!!!
It’s always worth taking a few steps back and building the confidence back up.
It was a lovely day, spent with a lovely family that I’d only met the day before .
You never know where this job is going to take you or who you’re going to meet, and I’m continually very grateful to meet up with such lovely people and their equine friends ###
Wow 🤩 the phone calls and bookings are definitely stepping up a gear with the promise of spring round the corner. Exciting times ahead. 🏇🏿🏇🏿🏇🏿🏇🏿🏇🏿
Come along and bring your goods to sell , it’s in the indoor school so no need to worry about the weather
Here is my lovely Sirius and I having a go at ridden equitation you have to ride a series of obstacles and score points for accuracy and performance . It was a great way to get him feeling good as his body is showing signs of wear and tear and age , however, the old grey matter is working perfectly. He was a superstar and I’m very proud of him ###
What a difference a week makes last Tuesday I got to go out with Cambridge Sheridan field chase for a days hunting which I thoroughly enjoyed with my friends. Thank you to the Stagg family for allowing that to happen.
Whereas this Monday, I went and had a dressage lesson with Wanda Bendish , it’s so enjoyable , just working on myself and my position while I’m riding a beautiful school master helping me to understand and feel the correct movements desired in Dressage.
I’m really enjoying taking a bit of time for myself and improving my skills watch out this Saturday. I’m off to a working equitation clinic with my boy, so I will let you know how that goes.
Hello everyone.
The end of last year proved to be rather difficult for me and my family, I know I am very grateful for the support I had off my friends and clients.
I’m feeling very positive about 2024. I’m looking forward to having some good weather and getting out and doing some enjoyable things with the horses. There’ll be some Dressage , some jumping , and x country, some groundwork and generally bringing horses on and helping them to stay confident.
I’m looking forward to trying g some new things too 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Today I was asked to be a “responsible adult“ and take young Arlo on a fun ride at the JCP pony club championships. It was an introduction to endurance.
I learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed myself as did Arlo, cantering along on the ponies round beautiful farmland .
The amount of work that goes into organising an event like this is truly amazing and all of the organisers ,volunteers, mums and dads , and family should be very proud 🏇🏿🏇🏿
I spent the morning at Kimpton show today, and what a wonderful time I had!!
I went with a young client for her first ever show, and she finished 4th out of 8 in the young handler, so we will definitely be back next year for some more classes and possibly some cross poles.
Wonderfully organised, plenty of variety and lots of fun 😀😀😀🏇🏿🐶🏇🏿🐶🏇🏿
Flying into the summer holidays,
I’m back!!!!!
The smile says it all 👋🏇🏿🤩
Got going a bit earlier this morning and now I finished until later on this afternoon, so no riding in the heat of the day ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Keep drinking plenty of water everybody

Meet Mikey, the 14.2hh 20-year-old supercob who jumped clear round Badminton. Star X, as he is known for British Eventing (BE), and his owner Morven Ritchie travelled for nine hours from their home in north Ayrshire, Scotland, to compete in the Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships – and it was...
Great day at Windsor , not places but in great company xx
Light evenings = riding your pony to the shop to get an ice cream 🍦
Lovely day out with these two, building confidence and learning all the time 💙💙
I’ve had a wonderful evening at Brook farm, Equestrian Centre unaffiliated showjumping with Some lovely children I teach.
Children and ponies were all amazing and we’ve come home with a collection of rosettes which is brilliant. Well done everybody and thank you to Brook farm xx
I’m flying into the 21st-century today with a remote training session, with Robert Pring and everything worked perfectly. I’m very excited 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Pony race day- good luck, Charles and star 😍
This week I was invited by Mari Durward-Akhurst to help out at their first dressage competition of the season.
Mari is a grade 1 para dressage rider, Ive been working with Mari over these past months with spook busting and growing Damo’s confidence in himself and in difficult environments.
So to go and help at the show and see them under pressure and using coping strategies was really useful.
Also got to see Michael Eilberg warming up in the same arena!!!!
Although they scored quite well , unfortunately didn’t gather any points, but as it was the first proper outing of the season, we take at lot away with us and continue the homework.
It will be great to get out again, and get those points.
Thank you to Mari and family for having me and keeping me topped up with bacon rolls.
