🐕 CALLING ALL PADDOCK USERS! 🐕

Please be considerate of the person using the paddock before you. They have paid to let their dog have free run in a secure space without distractions from other dogs or people.

⭐️ Please try not to arrive more than 5 mins before your booking.

⭐️ If you have arrived more than 5 mins early for your booking, please park outside the gate opposite our paddock until 5 mins before your booking.

⭐️ Please remain in your car with your dog until the current paddock user has put their dog safely away.

We have had a few people turn up super early for their bookings lately, disturbing the dogs and owners using it but by adhering to these rules, all dogs & humans will have a much more enjoyable time at Pig & Pooch! 🤎🩷

RAWHIDE, and why is it so bad for your dog!

It starts off as the hide of a cow or horse.
The fat and hair is removed using highly toxic chemicals, then more dangerous chemicals are used to puff it up so it can be cut into layers.

The top layer is used to make leather products and the left over inner layer is what is used for these disgusting chews.

This inner layer is whitened and cleaned using hydrogen peroxide or bleach.
Then to make it look pretty it may be dyed different colours.
But being a dead animal hide it now needs preserving, so formaldehyde or chromium salts are added.

But if there weren't enough toxic chemicals used on it already, glue is now used to shape it into knots, braids bones or rolls etc to look really temping to sell.

This is all bad enough but then there are even more dangers as the risk of choking is very high due to how slimmy the chew gets, and it is not digestible so can cause major issues to the digestive system as well as blockages.

You might argue that it must be safe for dogs, as there must be regulations right?

Wrong!
The chews are not classed as food, so there are no regulations , manufacturers get away with using all the toxic chemicals they like.

We know they are dangerous and deadly, but as long as there is money to be made shops will carry on selling them 😡
