I don't normally put things like this but I'm fed up of some people not being responsible dog owners.
The foul mouthed dog owner which I had a run in with today can call me all you like. It's your dog and the driver of a car that I'm concerned about. So if you want to take low tone with me then go ahead. But if your dog does get run over and is killed, DO NOT put it all over Facebook looking for sympathy. At the end of the day it's YOUR FAULT for not having your dog on a lead near roads, and a very busy road at that.

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS AND BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER

I have in approx the last year, been witness to a dog being killed which was off a lead near a main road. The owner said "she never goes on the road. The dog had seen a cat on the opposite side of the busy road, ran over the road towards the cat and was knocked over and killed by a car.
I've seen other dogs off leads running on roads because their owners say," my dog is well trained". Take responsibility. Let your dogs off leads in safe areas. Next to a road is NOT a safe place for your dog to be off a lead.
Today I have had a not so pleasant run in with a not so lovely, foul mouthed person around the Stepney road area of Scarborough. I was walking my dogs, on leads. This person's dog was off lead near a busy road. Said persons dog followed me despite said person calling it. Obviously not in control of said person. My reaction "it should be on a lead".
Person, I have my dog under control.

Me, clearly not as it didn't come back to you when you called it back.

Person, you one if these professional dog walkers?

Me, I've had dogs since I was 4 years old and I've managed to keep them under control plus your dog could run onto that road, get run over and that driver has to live with that due to you not having your dog on a lead near a busy road.

Person, ah f # # you ugly f***in c*nt.

Me. Aren't you such a lovely, polite person!

This was all said in front of kids that said person had with them. Said persons back also turned on their dog which was still off a lead.

PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE AND KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEADS NEAR BUSY ROADS.
The dog may well be good off its lead but it takes just the one time when it's not. When it's distracted by something and it runs across the busy road.
Not only have you lost your dog but that driver has to live with killing your dog by you not taking responsibility.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEADS UNLESS YOU'RE IN A SAFE PLACE TO UNLEASH THEM.
Within approx 4 weeks I've heard of 2 dogs run over by a car and killed due to their owners not having their dogs on leads near roads.
I hear it so many times. "my dog is good off lead. It never runs off". Not only has the dog lost its life but the driver of the vehicle has to live with what's happened due to careless dog owners.
There's a first time for everything.

I am by licencing laws required to have the following when your dog stays. Please make sure you bring these/or I have a copy every time your dog comes to stay with me.
I can't look after your dog if I don't have these....
Up to date vaccination card showing dogs name and date of last vaccinations. (photocopy will do)

Collar with name tag

Microchip number

Emergency contact numbers

Do not bring your dog if it has any of the following. Fleas, earmites, worms, sickness, diarrhea, conjunctivitis or any other contagious infections.

The following is what to bring personally for your dogs stay.

Clean bedding
Crate/cage if you use one

Food bowl

Food

P**p bags

Medication (if needed)
Please...
bring your dog at agreed time

do not collect your dog before agreed time

- Remember that this person gets ill

- Remember that this person has to have time off

Remember for me when you book our services how much hard work goes into running a full time buisness, how many sacrifices I make to provide a service, how many days I don't have lunch, how many times I go to sleep well past 12 to respond to admin, how many times I cancel plans with friends because I'm just too exhausted, think of how many times I work 7 days a week for 4 weeks without a day off.

Think carefully about how much one human has to do to provide you a service, how much we give without much reward, ALL BECAUSE WE LOVE OUR JOBS.

however please remember next time how much your bad review effects us, how much your conflict causes us stress because you want to argue our terms and conditions, how when you cancel a service it effects our schedule and our income. How when you're angry at us for being 10 minutes later because of traffic, or you threaten to speak badly about our service because we won't issue you a refund.

We work effortlessly to provide you the best service possible. I just ask to remember to be thoughtful, kind, understanding and compassionate to your service provider. You don't know what goes on behind doors, or how much your comments affect a person.

We're all only human. As am I and I'm doing my best with my knowledge, energy, time and life to offer all I physically and emotionally can. Just consider me as a human, not just your dog walker or your dog trainer.

Dogs stay in my home. They are treated as a family pet. I like to meet dogs before agreeing to them staying
I don't look after male dogs over the age of 7 months unless they have been neutered. I can't take females if they're in season. All dogs must be fully vaccinated.
Dogs must also be friendly.
Dog bookings are due to availability.
