Familiars Pet Services FdSc, BSc Your local Dog Walker and Dog Trainer. I use positive up to date training methods
(9)

My name is Shannon, I am a professional Dog Walker and Dog Trainer with many years experience. I have completed many qualifications including the two most recent ones being a Foundation Degree in Animal Management and Behaviour and the other one being a BSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training. I also have an up to date and accredited CPD Canine First Aid certificate and I have also participat

ed in an accredited CPD course in Canine Separation Issues. I primarily focus on dog training, I can and will also help with training cats, skunks, ferrets etc, however, some animals are excluded from this list so please get in touch if you are unsure. While I have taken an accredited CPD course in Canine Separation Issues, this is something I would refer to a trainer/behaviourist who has more specialist knowledge. This is the same for canine aggression, if I feel the situation needs someone more specialised to help manage/resolve the issue then you will be referred onto them.

Got to pop in and see these two sweet girls this morning 🌅

We were giving Belle some extra loving and support this morning due to a massive shake up to her life/routine and understandably she was unsure of everything going on

But with time and patience she will settle into the new routine/life

PSA: If your trainer, groomer, shelter worker, kennel attendant, dog dietician, dog walker, or veterinarian's office staff recommends, uses, or refers to people using these tools, ask yourself, "Do they REALLY" like dogs? "Do I really want my dog out of my sight around them?"

Regardless of what someone tries to tell you, there is NO RIGHT WAY to use these tools. Period!

Never ever forget - using aversive tools shows where someone's skill ends. A truly ethical and human pet professional will know all the potential health risks and be against their use. Sometimes you just have to open your eyes, see who likes what, comments where, and supports thing - the proof is always in the pudding!

This is an incredibly hard post to write…🫤 unfortunately it is with deepest regret that I am going to hand my own months notice in for Dog Walks 🐕 🚶🏻‍♀️.

As most of you know I have a part time job alongside my business and unfortunately due to changes within the workplace it has meant I am in need of another job. Unfortunately my new job will require me to work from 8am whilst 4:30pm so I will be unable to carry out any future dog walks during the week.

If any walks are needed on a weekend or if you require any training then I’m happy to still be of service in regard to this.

I’m honestly going to miss each and everyone of my dog walking customers

But going forward I will no longer be accepting new dog walks

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience but it’s what is needed to be done

Thank you for your understanding

This mornings walk with Tucker, it was a bit windy this morning 💨 and we came across some other doggos 🐶 one of them was also a Cockerpoo and just as bouncy and giddy to see another dog 🐶

Apologies this is a late post I didn’t do yesterday due to having a lot on my mind especially with reports of a potential riot that was happening in town (thankfully nothing became of it 🙏🏻)

But here’s pictures from that mornings walk with Tucker
