Reptile shops across the country have had an awful year, we have been hit hard along with a lot of other small businesses by the cost of living crisis, and our overheads have soared this year too. Online stores may be able to offer cheaper products, but they can’t offer the help, advice, and service that your local Bricks and Mortar stores can, but we can only survive to offer those services if we are supported by you guys. We pride ourselves on our aftercare, our nail trimming services, our health checks, our feeding advice, we see a lot of animals coming through our doors with worried customers seeking advice, however, we can’t stay open on our live food sales alone, if the shops go, so do all the little services and extras that we offer. So, we are urging you, please think carefully before buying your products online, Mr Amazon (other online stores are available!) is not going to help you set up your viv, or nip to your home in the middle of the night when you have a crisis, or when you are on holiday and your stat has stopped working, he will not help you to understand your pets faecal test results, or take care of your pets while you go skiing or exploring the world, (all things that we have done and do!) We are also facing huge attempts at opposition from the Antis, who would like to see the keeping of reptiles banned in this country, (there will be more about this in a post coming soon) So please, think before you order your viv, or dry goods online, we can only make it through this with your support.
