☀️What a beautiful week of hot weather! ☀️

Here’s a list of top tips to keep your pups cool in the heat:

1. Keep them hydrated
2. Walk them at cooler times of the day
3. Let your dog get lots of rest
4. Use a paddling pool
5. Provide cooling mats and ice packs
6. Use wet, cool towels
7. Use cooling coats and collars
8. Make some ice treats for example:
-Ice licks
-Ice popsicles
-Frozen fruit and vegetables
-Frozen Kong treats
Remember to feed treats in moderation and ensure ice cubes are an appropriate size for your dog.
9. Get a fan
10. Play with cooling toys
11. Use water mists and garden sprinklers
12. Be careful of transporting dogs in hot cars

🌳 Once again today was more about keeping all the dogs safe and cool. So welcome to Tree shade Tuesday! 🌳

We’re so fortunate to have natural coverage for the dogs to explore without exposing them to the harsh sun. Fizz showed off her cooling shirt today to her friends - we think she looks very cool 😎

We even received a paddling pool to add to our collection by one of our lovely owners! Luckily Isla was in a sharing mood with all her friends and they loved it 💦

Kali’s face when she saw the weather for this week… 😮

We really recommend having a look at getting a cooling coat/ bandanna for this week if you don’t have one already! It’s very important that we keep your pups cool in these hot temperatures to avoid heat exhaustion or even heat stroke!! 🥵

💦 Starting the week with a water mist Monday 💦

PSA: both tomorrow and Wednesday we’ll be starting an hour earlier to keep them away from the hottest parts of the day. Anyone booking our services should have an email from Jay!

All this week at the field we’ll be using utilising everything at our disposal to keep your pups safe and cool 😎

This includes bowls upon bowls upon bowls of water, lots of paddling, access to our air conned cabin for chill out time, wet towels, water misting, and plenty of shade shade shade.

We’re so fortunate to have a lots of big shady trees to keep everyone safe, including us humans and the dreaded sunburn!

🐶New Dotty + 🐶old Dotty (she’s not that old) = Dotty²🐶🐶

Dotty spaniel had her first session with us today so we had to make sure the first dog she made friends with was our resident English Bullterrier Dotty! Safe to say she showed her the ropes and she settled in wonderfully, and we can’t wait to see her again!

🐾📚 FUN FACT FRIDAY 📚🐾

Did you know that dogs are made up of mostly water, just like humans? 🐶💦

After having the hose on for the dogs to jump in today, we thought we’d give you a water fact! In general, dogs should drink approximately 1 ounce of water (1/8 of a cup) per pound of body weight each day. Always ensure that your dog has access to fresh, clean water every day. Studies show that the healthiest dogs have constant access to fresh drinking water! 🌊💧🚿

Our big baby Ozzy a.k.a Oswald celebrated his birthday with his besties yesterday and had a blast. Nailing the birthday hat and very shortly then being taken off by our bulldozer Dotty. 🤣

Did you know that Golden Retrievers are big babies? 👶

No… literally! We’ve all seen that specific exuberant puppy behaviour and that tends to last longer in Golden Retrievers than in other breeds. They mature slowly and can be playful and downright silly into adulthood! 🐶🐕🦴

Made it to the top of Snowdon with my babies ⛰️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 - I found it physically and mentally enduring and difficult - I didn’t do any training - and was surprised how difficult I found it - I think having 6kg of chihuahua on my front and 8kg rucksack - took its toll!
