Training –
4 weeks intensive shadow work will be provided. As a team we feel this is important to nurture new candidates to get them up to the standard of care we are known and respected for. Also, so all animals in your care are comfortable and happy with a new walker/sitter. On the employment of an applicant a contract will be issued and must be signed agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions as laid out.
Experience –
Preferred but not obligatory. A basic knowledge of dogs, behaviour and breeds and a respect for all living beings is more import. Communication skills with clients and working as a team and individual is very important.

Due to the 4 weeks training period we are looking for someone to start March but this is negotiable options can be discussed.
Notes –
Dog walking is not an easy job. Managing groups of dogs to the standards of care we expected can be challenging and tiring. We look for a certain level of strength, fitness, dedication and motivation in our team to ensure they can respond appropriately in all situations. Workers that wish to flex their knowledge are supported and we try to provide as much learning opportunity as we can, including animal first aid and some cases NVQ level 2 in animal care other options can be discussed.
Workers need to be ready to work in all weathers. This can be a shock down the line for those who train up in the delightful spring / summer. Rain or shine – you need to be prepared to maintain the pace. So, a love of the outdoors and appropriate gear is advisable.
Some uniform will be provided.
We provide a friendly, reliable, and trustworthy service for our clients and use only positive reinforcement on the animals in our care. We will be looking for the applicant to show the same high standards
