We are super proud to announce that following our inspection today and license renewal with Stockport Council, Woof Club have once again achieved a 5 STAR HIGHER STANDARD license 🤩

All the team work so hard every day to achieve this and ensure our Woofs are getting the royal treatment they all deserve whilst maintaining a happy, safe daycare environment 🥰

We are looking for a full time apprentice to join our small friendly team! 💫

This is an exciting opportunity for a dog lover to work within our family run daycare for dogs, with a view to starting your career within the animal sector. 🐕

Based in High Lane, Stockport 🌳

The position is for 30 hours p/w, alongside college online working towards Animal & Welfare Assistant Level 2. In house training will also be provided as part of your development. 📝

Shifts range from 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday. On occasion there will be additional shifts outside of these hours for events, staff meetings and deep cleaning either at the weekend or evenings. Plenty of notice will be provided. 🕣

Our mission is simple - to love and care for each and every dog as if they were our own. ❤️

To work for Woof Club, you will need to be committed, responsible, reliable and a dog lover, who is presentable with good communication skills. 🤓

You must be prepared to work outdoors in all weathers and not be afraid of cleaning, slobber and/or getting muddy! Our dogs don’t mind if it is cold outside and love being in the fresh air - one of the things that sets our daycare apart is our amazing outdoor areas. 🌧️☀️❄️

We pride ourselves in providing high quality daycare, in a safe, comfortable environment in a countryside setting. 🐶

Our goal as a business is to deliver the highest customer service experience to the best of our ability. Apart from the obvious perk of working with dogs and very friendly customers, we also have the best people who form our team so we would be looking for somebody who wants to be part of the Woof Club family.

Previous experience of working with animals is preferred but not essential. You must be confident in handling all sizes of dogs in a gentle manner.

The safety and happiness of the dogs in our care is of the utmost importance. Whilst training will be provided you must be observant and able to pick up on dogs body language and behaviours to ensure a happy and enjoyable environment for all dogs at daycare.

Activities such as enrichment, agility and basic commands all form part of our day. You should be happy to take part in all events and activities.

Whilst we spend our days with the dogs, it is also essential that you are confident speaking with our customers who will expect feedback as to how their dog has enjoyed their day. You will be expected to communicate with customers at pick-up, drop off and during the day via the staff phone / social media.

Social media and updating our customers is a key part of our day. You must be willing to take photos, videos and have a keen interest in social media/be confident posting to Facebook, instagram and TikTok.

Do you love dogs?
Are you able to work almost all day on your feet?
Do you have exceptionally high hygiene standards?
Can you work as part of a team?
Are you confident communicating to people?
Are you flexible to work different shift patterns?
Are you confident using social media?
Are you happy to clean up all types of dog messes?
Can you chase and play with dogs all day long without tiring?

We often get asked “How do you get the dogs to pose?!” Well there is your answer… 😍

Who’d of thought Luna, who’s board wrote ‘least likely to sit still in class’ during our bark to school photoshoot in 2022, followed by a load of pics of her barely in shot (see comments😆) would blossom into such a pawfessional poser! 📸

We are so proud of all of our woofs, their sit and stays skills which we practise everyday at woofclub & patience (with us😂) on photoshoot days is what makes them makes them run so smoothly. Dog’s literally queue at the door waiting for their turns at pictures (…they know where the treats are!😆)
