We had the very lovely and VERY well behaved Apollo in today. Unfortunately Apollo has previously been clipped short which is not something we recommend for double coated breeds, so his coat is quite badly damaged.
We started the process to try and bring his coat condition back today, with a full deshed to bring out any trapped undercoat preventing new coat coming through, a thorough brush with deshedding slickers only to hopefully stimulate new growth. Followed by a second wash in natural products to help any oily sore skin caused by a damaged coat. Finished off with a conditioning treatment and a head to toe blast out to separate the coat and give his skin chance to breathe.
It is never a guarantee that a coat this damaged can come back right , but we are working with his lovely dad to do everything we can to give it the best chance.

The lovely Dylan had a conditioning treatment with his bath and deshed today.
Conditioning treatments are there to keep the coat and skin healthy, help combat any issues with dryness or coarse coat, and can really help to keep knots and tangles at bay long after the groom ( regular brushing still needed!). Plus look at that shiiiiiiine! 💁💁

We are getting so close to finishing renovations so it's time to let you all know the new address.

If heading from Stockton way, head north up the A19 towards Norton/billingham. Pass the slip road for wolviston services and you will see a big sign for farm traffic, use the 3rd gap in the central reservation after that sign to turn right onto the lane and just follow it down.
If heading from southbound from Hartlepool way, pass the ok diner and the windmill pub and turn left into the slip road when you see the scarecrow (who is usually dressed up, currently as Santa 😂).
We will be putting signs up which will help locate us, and happy to send our exact location over via Facebook or WhatsApp for people coming for the first time 😊.
