This is lovely Icelandic Orkey!
Her owner has given me permission to share what we have been upto!
I started with Orkey in January this year due to troubles with mounting and her ridden work.
Orkey would bolt when mounted which has led to her owner loosing confidence and not wanting to ride.
We started on the ground and built a routine with Orkey when being mounted. In no time at all Orkeys owner was back on board!
I since then have been schooling Orkey- she is a very sweet pony that was just a bit confused!
Her owner now enjoys her on the ground and riding- as she should! 🥰

I had never ridden an Icelandic pony before so took some research understanding the gaits! 😆

Spending a few weeks schooling at home before he re enters the show ring!
I’ve found that it’s important to let a young horse process his job, Charlie is a very smart boy and his owner is very excited about his future!
