Shelagh Dale started work at Ashwood in 1974 and 47 years later , today she booked her last appointment and took her last payment before starting a very well earned retirement. We would like to wish her all the best as today marks the end of an era . Thank you Shelagh for your sterling service , you can put your feet up now - you’ve certainly earned it !

We are now at a critical point in our lobbying campaign to get the Nowzad veterinary care team and dependents on the rescue list to the UK.

We desperately need you all to continue to lobby Dominic Raab, Wendy Morton, James Cleverly, Zac Goldsmith, Lord Tariq Ahmed and Ben Wallace and your MPs this afternoon as a matter of urgency, to get them behind getting the Nowzad team out of Kabul on a rescue flight in the next few days.

The Emergency debate in Parliament on Wednesday will be a critical opportunity for MPs to show support for Nowzad and the rescue of their veterinary care team and family members

Please do all you can we must rescue the animal rescuers, we will leave no one behind

We are a 5 1/2 vet independent small animal practice in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. We are looking for an experienced full time vet to join our team. High level of insured patients and committed clients permit most cases to be worked up to a high standard and the ideal candidate will thrive on this as well as being comfortable with all routine surgeries. Diagnostic imaging expertise would be a bonus. Our vets enjoy communicating with clients and developing lasting relationships with them, and are supported by a committed and highly competent team of nurses. No "targets" to hit, just good quality medicine !
Significant salary package for the right applicant, sensible rota allows good work-life balance, nice accomodation available if required. CPD is encouraged (in fact required!) and funded. 6 weeks holiday. 1 Saturday (9-2ish) in 4, not sole charge. No out-of-hours.
