Today we recommend to avoid walks and exercise. Pet owners should also be extremely careful when traveling with pets in cars.

It has just come to my attention that our phone system is not doing what it is meant to when we are closed and play a greeting to say what our out of hours arrangements are. This is due to a problem with our phone provider but they can’t fix it until normal business hours! I am so sorry for any problems this has caused.

It is with a sad heart that we will be saying Goodbey to Kerrie today. She has been with us since the doors opened 8 years ago… and before helping painting the walls ready for opening day! Kerrie and Crumble have been familiar faces to so many clients and their pets over that time and she will be missed by all the Streetly Vets family and community. Good luck Kerrie we will miss you 🐾

FOUND

Stray young tabby cat was found by member of the public in Aldridge, near Fairlawns. Approximately 5-6 months old. No collar. Omitting the s*x of the cat to ensure confirmation with owner.

Autumn is finally in full swing, so with that in mind with are recommending our clients start thinking about fireworks season. If your pooch is petrified by loud bangs or fireworks make your cat crazy, then its worth following a few helpful tips from the RSPCA, found here: https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/general/fireworks #:~:text=Provide%20toys%20and%20other%20things,t%20see%20any%20flashes%20outside.

Just to let all our clients know we have a supply issue with medications coming from our supplier. This is a nationwide problem, so we are asking all clients to allow a few extra days when ordering prescriptions to ensure you don’t run out.

If you can, allow 3-4 days notice when ordering medications rather than our normal 24 hours notice.

We hope this issue with be rectified soon and we thank you for your patience during this time.

Update - unfortunately the lead we had for a home wasn’t the correct owner. He has now been passed on to the cats protection, who are providing him the care he needs until he is ready to rehome.

We’ve had this sweet cat handed into us yesterday, from the kingstanding area. No chip. if you recognise this cat, please call the practice on 01215726527. (Proof of ownership will be required) 🐈‍⬛ 💕
