A big thank you goes out to everyone who already donates to our shop and Wildlife Rescue Centre! Our charity shops raise the majority of the funds needed to run our Wildlife Rescue Centre, pay the bills and our staff. Without our shops there wouldn’t be RSPCA Oak and Furrows. To raise funds, we need good quality donations to sell.

There’s the old saying ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’. We are asking you, our wonderful supporters, to please have a clear out and bring the clothes you no longer wear, and household items you no longer use along to our charity shops. Your generous donations can help us raise much needed funds and ensure a second chance for injured, unwell and orphaned wildlife. Well,what a wonderful day we had at the Gorse Hill Store,we had our Tombola Day and we had a very special visitor Nathan the friendly Elephant,with a trumpety trump,he put smiles on so many faces,he met lots of lovely customers ,waved to all the passers by, he even gave us alittle dance.Thank you to everyone who,had photos taken with Nathan,tooting your car horns and all our lovely shop owners for your support today.A huge well done Team GH, your Amazing 😊

Good morning! Welcome to a new week.

We have opportunities for voluntary work in some of our charity shops! This includes shop floor, sorting donations, pricing, labelling and displaying items. This role does not have to be customer facing if you prefer to work behind the scenes!

Good morning everyone!

Our shops are in desperate need of good quality furniture items to sell. We can come and collect these free of charge (although donations always welcome of course ;) )

Are you clearing a house and need somewhere for the furniture to go? Or do you have some furniture that is still in good nick but you fancy a change? Please give us a call and we will arrange a suitable time to come and collect.

Large furniture items give a great boost to our income all of which goes to the RSPCA Oak and Furrows wildlife hospital and animal welfare initiatives in our local area.

Hi everyone, happy Friday indeed!
We are appealing to workplaces, schools, community groups and clubs who would be interested in holding a charity shop 'Drop and Donate' day at their location.
How does this work?
🦔We provide you with advertising material and gift aid forms and will support you in getting the word out amongst your school, group or workplace and arrange a date.
🦔Your colleagues or group come in on that date with bags of good quality clothing, bric-a-brac and toys for our charity shops
🦔We come with our van on the day and collect it all and take it away to be distributed amongst our shops, sold and all the money comes to our little branch and the RSPCA Oak and Furrows Wildlife Centre
🦔Any items with gift aid attached earn us an extra 25% at the point of sale so for a £10 item we will receive an extra £2.50 from the tax people!

Charity Shop Shoutout!

It's that time of year for a good old clear out of the old and in with the new. But your old items may be someone else's treasure! We have recently opened a new charity shop in Swindon, and one in Devizes in addition to our other 8 locations and all would love to relieve you of some high quality items of clothing, bric a brac and furniture (we can collect larger or bulky items free of charge) to sell. Did you know that ALL the money raised in these shops comes directly to our wildlife centre and local animal welfare causes.

We have shops in Gorse Hill, The Parade, Chippenham, Marlborough, Newbury, Thatcham, Devizes, Royal Wootton Bassett, Warminster and Witney.
Also, and very excitingly, if your workplace, village, afternoon club, school, organisation or group of any kind would like us to come to you for a 'Drop and Donate' day, please telephone the branch on 01793 640136 or contact us through our website and we can arrange this with you. This is where everyone brings all their bags of items they wish to donate and our van will wait in your car park or local area to collect them all.

The Movement for Good grant is open once again to support charities who are lucky enough to be in the draw for a £1000 grant in December.

Would you help us please? All we need is a moment of your time to head to the nomination page, add in our charity number 268444 and fill in the details. With enough votes, our charity may be in with a chance to receive a share of the grant.

We all know that times are very hard for everyone, and we are no exception. To be in with a chance of receiving this funding would mean so much to us and would allow us to continue with our work to help wildlife.

Could you be a Domestic Animal Home Visitor for Swindon, Newbury & Thatcham, surrounding areas?

As a branch, RSPCA Oak and Furrows not only cares for Wildlife, which is at the heart of our organisation, we also support domestic animals in need of care.

As part of our work, we are looking for volunteers to join us as Domestic Animal Home Visitors.

So, if you have a good eye for “matchmaking” and know how to care for animals this could be a great opportunity for you to get involved! We’re looking for volunteers who can assess potential adopters for the animals in our care and get the perfect match. You’ll meet new people, work with a great team, whilst helping animals find loving homes.

This is an incredibly important and satisfying role and would be ideal for someone who has a passion for animals and can give some time to support.
