Lovely day at Tiverton Hunt Pony Club Show with just Mabel and Stepley Jenny Wren
We had a go at clear round jumping, mabel fell after the first on the first attempt and then after the third fence on the second attempt so we gave that up.
We then did some ridden showing and had 3rd in the Childs best friend and 1st in the best rider under 10yrs
After lunch we had a go at gymkhana, this is where jen wren comes alive, 4th in the bending, 2nd in the mug race then just moments from winning the sock race jen got over excited and mabel came off again but we scooped her up crossed the line finishing 5th.
Decided jen was getting too excited so went back showing getting 2nd in the m&ms and 6th in the veterans (jen was a baby in that at 20yrs young)
A lovely day enjoying a pony of a lifetime xx

On Friday we headed off to the Royal Cornwall Show, Stepley Tobias had 1st in the standard stallions and Reserve Champion stallion. Stepley Charlton (aka Dave) had 2nd in the standard yearlings and Berogar Hazel had 5th in the miniature 2yr old. Well done to everyone that went x

Wow what a half term week for the team here. Over the week we've moved 47 ponies (including 16 foals in this) to their summer grazing, been to 2 shows, had a vet visit to geld 5 yearlings and microchip 6 foals and travelled many miles across somerset!
Thank you everyone for your help this week.
Roll on Monday we are back to work for a rest!!! xx

Today we headed off to the Bath and West show.
Stepley Tobias was 3rd in the standard stallions and Berogar Hazel was 6th in the mini 2&3yr old fillies
Beth also showed Witcombe Questionnaire in the mini yearlings for Dawn getting 3rd
Well done to everyone that went today in the showers x

A busy bank holiday here for the team, Saturday and Sunday saw all the standard mares and foals moved onto there summer grazing ready for the relevant stallions arrival.
Early hours of bank holiday Monday saw the arrival of another foal (info to follow) before we headed off to Sherbourne Show. Stepley Caprice was 5th out of 10 in an open standard shetland class. Jamilla of Jopa was 4th in the openvminiature shetland class and 4th in the open breeds veteran class. Then Mabel took her in the young handlers 10yrs and under and won the class.

Busy 24hrs at the ranch!!!
Last night Stepley True Love and Stepley Talyse decided that it was the night to foal at 11.15pm and foaled within 3 mins of each other both in foal to Stepley Tobias. True Love had a bay colt called Stepley Toro and Talyse had a chestnut colt with a white star (just like dad) called Demane ?
Then the rest of the team headed off to Devon County Show early this morning with Stepley Una getting 4th in the standard 2yr old and Berogar Hazel getting 6th in the miniature 2yrs old. Well done everyone that went today x

Busy couple of days foaling, Friday night Stepley Taka foaled to Stepley Volcano Husk and gave us a filly Stepley Takara
Early Saturday morning Stepley Tilley foaled to Stepley Tomahawk (his first foal) and gave us a filly Stepley Torah
Then this morning Stepley Tiki Tama foaled to Stepley Taco and gave us a colt Stepley Tic toc
Now off to the SWSPG show for the day

Parkview Jezabel foaled to Chilcombe Little Jack Horner and had a piebald colt called Carmaco Zuko
Then just as dad left for work this morning Stepley Candelara foaled to Stepley Taco and had a black colt called Stepley Chandler x

The sunshine brought a visit from the filly fairy to the maternity field this afternoon!!
Stepley Cheyenne has foaled to Stepley Taco and given us this gorgeous filly. All went well luckily after saturdays events. Welcome Stepley Christina (named after her grandmother Stepley Chrystal) x

Today we headed off to the North Somerset Show.
Stepley Charlton got 2nd in the standard yearlings, so pleased with him first time on grass and all the sounds and sights he did amazing
Stepley Duchess had 3rd in the standard 4yrs and over
Berogar Hazel had 6th in a strong miniature 2and3yr old class
We didn't stay for the m&m classes as getting too late and ground conditions to get out not the best!!!

Yesterday morning down the field Carmaco Anais foaled to Stepley Taco but another infoal mare stole her colt foal.
Quickly remove mare and foal from the field to find Anais obviously sore and not letting foal feed and he's a bit of a dumb dumb foal.
Taken home and mare milked off, foal fed and encouraged over the day and finally at tea time he got the idea and was able to feed himself. Big sigh of relief breathed.
Made sure all well during the night before naming and introducing him to world

4.30am this morning saw the safe arrival of our only foal by 26yr old Stepley Troy out of maiden mare Carmaco Pink Gin giving us a lovely filly, introducing Carmaco Primalia x

Stepley Bliss caught us out foaling a week early to Stepley Taco and giving us a colt foal called Stepley Brogan, mum and baby moved across the road into the creche and doing well x

Today the team headed off to the South West Shetland Pony Group show at Cholwell. Unfortunately due to work and foal duties a couple of us had to stay home but the team did well.
Mabel started the day winning the little young handler class and taking Reserve Champion. Only the 2nd show for this new combination
Stepley Charlton (aka Dave) made his debut getting 4th in the novice youngstock and 6th in the standard yearlings
Stepley Duchess was 4th in the novice seniors and 7th in the standard mares
Jamilla of Jopa was 5th in the mini mares, feeling very well for 19yrs young Beth had take over handling.
Well done to everyone who attended x

Foaling season 2024 has finally begun, Carmaco Maria foaled overnight to Chilcombe Little Jack Horner and has given us a skewbald filly called Carmaco Mary-Ellen.
Filly shares her birthday with her sire!!!
