I have been blessed to work with some of the most incredible women at TCDH. Today I would like to celebrate them and thank them for their hard work and dedication to looking after our dog guests. Here’s to them 🤍 and everything they have achieved, their hard work and their inspiration.

Thank you to George and Amal Clooney for trusting in us to look after Rosie for a longer stay last year. As a family we loved spending Christmas Day with her and making you laugh with all of her pupdates.
Coming to your home to collect her for her stay and meeting you both will always be one of my top highlights for our small business. Knowing that you chose us for her care makes it super special. Rosie we love you and The Country Dog hotel will always be a second home for you x

We don’t rave about our wedding chaperone service enough and it’s a big part of what we do 🤍

It is a total honour to chaperone a dog to their owners wedding and be part of their most special day.

With months and sometimes years of meticulous planning it’s so important that a wedding runs smoothly and although a dog doesn’t always comply 🤣, we have a full consultation with our clients and give them the opportunity to communicate their plans and dreams beforehand.

We have been a part of the most incredible weddings with amazing clients and their dogs. Thank you to all of them who have trusted in us to be such a big part of the day and ultimately to have all of their family members together to share the memories no matter if they have two legs or four.

On making a reservation some clients are sometimes anxious about letting us know where their dog sleeps. We have no judgment and our priority is to make sure that our dog guests have the best stay and keep the continuity of their home comforts whilst ensuring they are happy and settled.

If that means we sleep with dogs on a pillow next to our head, under the covers, on a dog bed next to a bed, on a sofa, in a puppy pen or downstairs by the aga we can do it, happily.

It’s not about what a dog should or shouldn’t do. It’s about looking at every individual dog and their needs and being a home from home.

(The only time Mike didn’t agree with this was back in 2018 after sleeping with four St. Bernard’s on our bed 🤣)

We are really excited to be having a stall at again this year. It’s going to be a great day and hopefully we will get to see some of our lovely London dogs and meet some new ones too!

The show opens at 11am with 18 fun classes and over 50 stalls!

Some of our team will be on hand to answer any questions and of course we will have some of our famous homemade dog biscuits to give out.

I will also be judging Best Youngster, Bitch, 1-2 years in Ring 3 at 11.45am alongside fellow judges and .

Tuesday marked an important day for us.
was always a massive part of so many positive things for our business. He inspired and taught us how to improve, challenge the norm and continually develop to offer the best service to our dog guests. He was both a formidable dog trainer/behaviourist and the most wonderful dear friend.

Last year when he passed away we felt a massive loss here at TCDH and knew it would take someone special to come along who had the same passion and knowledge to be able to empower us to always be better and as Oli would always say ‘be your dogs safe person’.

Moving forward to 2023 and we are very excited to announce we have been working with Antonella Marsicano founder of . Not only was Antonella a very close friend with Oli she is MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour and is certified (Clinical Animal Behaviourist).

We had a fabulous day at the hotel and have all learnt so much. She has a fantastic way of showing us techniques and learning behaviours that both our team and our guests show when communicating with each other. We can’t wait to build on this and develop even more.

As the sun shone down on us I hope you were up there smiling down on us Oli x☀️🐾 x

We are RECRUITING!

We are looking for motivated, passionate and hard working reliable individuals who can use their initiative, show attention to detail and be flexible.

The right candidate will need to be willing to work to a schedule and have a passion for delivering the best level of care and service to our canine guests.

Experience is not essential but desirable.

This role will be 32 working hours a week including every other weekend. This will consist of shifts usually from 7am-2pm, 10am-5pm or 2pm-10pm. We will also require the right candidate to sleep overnight at the hotel 3 nights a week.

Some of the duties will include:

🐾 Cleaning duties around the hotel
🐾 Feeding & administering meds to dogs
🐾 Exercising dogs and picking up 💩
🐾 General welfare of our dog guests
🐾 Take pics & videos of our dog guests

Salary from £20,000 - to £25,000 per annum depending on experience.
