We’ve got some big news… PD Cooper is retiring from Staffordshire Police today 🐶💙

Cooper joined us in March 2018 as a rescue dog and thanks to the love and support of his handler, PC Tim Moss he has become of our most popular police dogs in force.
Cooper is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and is retiring at the age of 6 as he’s ready for a rest now.

Cooper and Tim have appeared at Crufts, been on live TV with Good Morning Britain and with Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick as well as visiting dozens of schools across Staffordshire over the past four and a half years. Cooper has some impressive jobs under his collar too, including finding £250k worth of class A drugs that were buried underground.

Cooper will be retiring at home with his ‘dad’, PC Tim Moss and remain living with Tim and his family while Tim continues fighting crime at Staffordshire Police.
On Cooper’s retirement, Tim has said: “I am so proud of Cooper and all we’ve achieved together these past four years. He has been a brilliant companion and colleague. We’re very lucky that we are able to keep Cooper at home with our family and I will ensure he still gets his fair share of sausages and tennis balls, even though he won’t be working his day job any longer.”

Thank you, Cooper for your service and we hope you enjoy your slower pace of life.
