We’re receiving a high number of last minute calls to help your pooches in this heat, but unfortunately, we’re full to the brim until 19th July!😢

We welcome you to get a slot secured; then we can add you to our cancellation list for anything that might pop up sooner! 🙏🏼

In the meantime, keep your pooches cool by supplying fresh water, frozen fruity treats and maybe a water fight in the garden 😁💦

Avoid walking your dog in the heat 🥵 stick to early mornings or evenings when it’s cooler! They’ll thank you for it ☺️

We are currently looking for the following breeds & requirements;

🐾 All Spaniels
🐾 Cockerpoo
🐾 Cavapoo
🐾 Golden Retriever
🐾 Cavachon
🐾 Bichon
🐾 Maltese or similar toy breed

Your dog MUST be;

- Well behaved & patient
- In good coat condition
- Physically & mentally able to withstand a longer grooming appointment (breaks are given)
- Not in season (post bleed)

As this is a training appointment, we are offering up to 20% off the price of the groom (subject to the above)

Regular customers preferred; new customers considered (following an appointment with one of our experienced groomers to ensure suitability)

Appointments also available on Friday afternoons.

We are often asked if we help with clearing a**l glands. Unfortunately, we don’t and may advise you to see a vet/vet nurse.

However, there are ways in which you can help your dog to naturally clear their glands by increasing their fibre in-take, which aids digestion & firm up p**ps.

We recommend Hairy Rabbit Ears & can be purchased at our Salon 🐶🐾🐰

Why hairy rabbit ears are beneficial for dogs for several reasons 🐰

🐾 **Dental Health**: Chewing on the ears helps clean a dog's teeth and gums, reducing plaque and tartar build-up.

🐾 **A**l Glands**: The hair on the ears acts as a natural fiber, which can aid digestion and firm up their p**ps. Regular consumption of hairy rabbit ears can contribute to maintaining healthy a**l glands in dogs.

There are so many products on the market and each have their place. This is a common product but is often misused. It’s an excellent product for sterilisation but when it comes to wound healing, there are better things to choose. And in fact we shouldn’t even be using this for wound healing…

The old myths about rapeseed being dangerous are doing the rounds again I see!!

It is not the rapeseed causing dangerous toxic signs. However letting your dog run through rapeseed fields is not advisable not just because of the fertiliser/herbicide that could of been sprayed on it (that would cause toxic signs) but because it’s a farmers produce.

Is your dog due an operation? 👩🏼‍⚕️🐾

Elsie is… she’s getting neutered tomorrow 😪 and Francesca has prepared her coat nicely, to allow for a more comfortable recovery! She’s been taken shorter than usual as this is in her best interests.

Getting your dog professionally groomed before an operation is highly recommended and can be beneficial for several reasons:

🐾. **Hygiene**: Keeping your dog clean and groomed reduces the risk of infection before and after surgery.

🐾. **Comfort**: A well-groomed coat can prevent discomfort during recovery, as mats or tangles can pull on incisions or cause irritation.

🐾. **Monitoring**: Grooming allows for a thorough inspection of your dog’s skin and coat, helping to identify any issues that may require attention before the operation.

🐾. **Easier Care**: A shorter coat is easier to manage during recovery, especially if there are bandages or dressings that need to be changed regularly.

Please arrive to your appointment with your dog on an appropriate lead 🦮🐕‍🦺

We have noticed, on occasion, some customers are allowing their dogs out of the car & to run freely to our salon. Likewise, some customers are returning for their dogs without a lead and letting them run freely back to the car.

! YOUR DOGS SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT !

Whilst you may be confident that your dog will return straight to your car, there is a blind bend leading to a regularly used Carpark & for your dogs safety, should be put on a lead upon arrival/collection. This is your responsibility!

If you have forgotten to bring a lead, we have one you can borrow. Alternatively, one of our Team will insist on helping you to the car, to ensure your dog’s safety!

Please be reminded that we are located on a working farm; with children, animals, other businesses & cars/farm machinery to consider.

**We will not be held responsible for any unnecessary accidents should you allow your dog to roam free after leaving our premises**
