Yet again Erin and Nova back in for another session. The pure determination from Erin really does go to show that it really does pay off when you put the reps in. So today we had an environmental session where we had a lot of exposure to one of my own K9’s to which the interaction could be controlled safely and upon this there was socialisation regarding people to which there was a lot of positive interaction with individual members of public. We finished the session with working on recall to which Nova smashed. Absolutely brilliant session again. Well done Erin and well done Nova from all at JandNK9.

Today we’ve had Erin and Nova come in. She is a 3 1/2 month old Malinois X Shepherd. This is Nova’s 3rd session with me. So the first session was just getting her in around general public for some environmental exposure. But today Erin and her Mam came to me with Nova with a bit of a problem around people and dogs with reactivity. So we focused today on handler engagement and correcting the behaviours we don’t like and teaching Nova the right way, to which she managed absolutely brilliant. This is also such a big shoutout to Erin of an absolute big well done. This pup has got brilliant recall, down, sit and stay and is nearly bullet proof. The work this lass has done with this pup in such a small amount of time is extraordinary and goes to show that if you put the work in you will reep the rewards. But what an amazing session today has been.

Chase was in today for a cheeky little bite work protection session and he is vastly improving with his out command and being able to get a proper grip and hold and keeping his interest he’s doing very well. Good work today chase.

Today we had Zeus in for an assessment to see where he’s thriving and where he’s struggling. His owner Damien has done a great job so far but Zeus does need some support around his obedience and reactivity to other dogs. Was a lovely little session added a few pointers to Damien explaining about correct lead handling and being more confident within a walk and what a difference from the start of the session to the end of the session Zeus was calm and a lot more focused on his owner which allowed him to enjoy the walk a lot more for both of them. Keep up the good work Zeus and I look forward to our further sessions.

Meet this absolute legend. Chase has come to me for some obedience work and foundation work and to get him ready for a NASDU certification. A long road ahead for this beaut but with how hard his owner Reece works with him to better this dog and allow him to reach his best potential this should be a very good working partnership. Wilma came in today for her first session on the foundation and reactivity course. Today we covered basic handling techniques with her owners aaron and Gemma alongside some loose lead walking ending on some reactivity work. Wilmas owners have been sent away with homework to continue with until the next session.

Today me and Loki are working on relationship building and bonding. We’ve been past cars other dogs and other pedestrians. The further we went on the walk the more he started a lot more relaxed even though he is still very anxious and stressed. Good work today little man👍

Come rain or shine training should never be a chore but an experience for both the handler and the dog. If you enjoy the work your dog will love it just as much. But it pays off. This is Narla. My 14 month malinois. She came to me at 11 months old from inexperienced owners she had no level of recall or basic foundation and was reactive. Solid work with your dogs pays off.

Most important thing in dog training is relationship building working on your bond with your dog will always be the best but of training you can do with your dogs. Make your sessions fun the more you enjoy them the more your dog does.
