Happy 5th birthday to our gorgeous little boy Freddie. When Freddie came to us he was such an anxious little dog and used to run and hide under the table when we went to collect him. He’d been out walking with a dog walker who had all different sized dogs and it had not been a good environment for him. I have seen Freddie grow in confidence enormously over the last year that we have been walking him and he now literally comes bounding out the door desperate to come and play with his little pals! 🥰 Freddie we love you so much and we’re so proud of you! Hope you’re having a super duper birthday little chap 🎁🥳🎈🐶🐾❤️

Well it’s been such a lovely few weeks despite the seemingly endless rain ☔️ and mud but we did enjoy a couple of sunny frosty days☀️ We have welcomed a couple of gorgeous friendly little doggies to our walkies and they have fitted in beautifully with their new chums 🐶🐕🐾 We’re all getting very excited about Christmas too! 🎅🎄🥳❤️

Happy 10th birthday to the Friendly Little Dog Walker! I started this business 10 years ago today which just happened to be on my birthday! 🤩🎈
I got my first little cockerpoo called Charlie from St George’s Hills who I still walk today 🥰. I remember being with my family in Brighton and getting the phone call and saying “I’ve just got my first client!” and we were so excited. I was a nutritionist at the time having done a nutritional medicine degree, and although I enjoyed it I found it was a lot of computer work and I just felt fundamentally that I wanted something with a better lifestyle. So whilst on holiday lying on a beach I had a lightbulb moment and I thought “what about dog walking?” 🤔 I had always owned dogs and animals had always been a big part of my life - in previous years I had owned my own horse, worked with horses and worked training police horses for the Met. Anyway, I came home and set the wheels in motion. I did a lot of research, created all my documents and paperwork, and then put out my first advert. I called the business Melanie’s Pet Services. Soon my business was up and running and I loved it!

When Covid hit, I lost a lot of my doggies due to everyone working from home and I suddenly found that I now really only had little ones on a regular basis and so I decided to change the business to walking little dogs only. It was the best decision I made and via word of mouth, my business went from strength to strength, and I got so busy that I even had to employ somebody. Along came the lovely Leanne who has been an absolute asset.

I am so happy with where I am with the business right now. I absolutely love all the little doggies that I walk and I have some amazing clients who have all become my friends over the years. Yes, it can be stressful. After all I have the responsibility of caring for all those beautiful little animals. And yes it can be wet and muddy and dirty and cold and smelly, but I would not change it for the world! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and trusted me with their doggies over the years. All my clients are so wonderful and have treated me with such kindness. Here’s to another 10 years of walking your gorgeous, funny, fluffy little bundles. Happy birthday to us! 🎵🍰 🎈🥂 🎉 🐶 🐾
