Introducing Freya and Luke, I took both of these dogs as rescues, Freya first, Luke more recently. Each came with their own issues from their previous lives, Freya was very timid and unworldly having spent the first year of her life in a pen in Germany, Luke’s owner died unexpectedly last year so he was quite distressed when he arrived, however very used to being Alpha, very dominant, didn’t listen, quite comfortable being aggressive with dogs, high prey drive, poor Dudley, my cat was horrified as was Freya that this lout was suddenly living with us. He’s been here 9months now and with lots of patience and work he’s become part of my pack, still got a long way to go but at least he’s trying, which is progress in itself. 😊
