Hope everyone is ok after storm Isha !!
The lull before the storm !!! A quick session in the school before the Storm came in .. you could feel the wind increasing making a very interesting ride .. I was always told ride with what you’ve got .. every cloud has a silver lining they say … or in this case gold 😍

First call today was for 12 Donkeys in Guildford…. So off I set and when I get there I have 3 bales of shavings in the back of the truck and no gear !
Relieved Donkeys !!

Back to work as normal ….

Following the “direct hit “we took from a Tornado 🌪.. last Sunday .. wiping out our Stables … it’s back to business as usual ..
What started out as a fairly normal Sunday , turned into an unbelievable series of events …

3 pm my wife and I went for a quick hack in the woods behind our home .. with a storm brewing and heavy rain

4pm we headed home for putting the stallions in the barn with the other horses already in the outside stables ..

4.07 the Tornado hit our yard , wiping out our stables, smashing the arena mirrors ,snapping huge telegraph poles , ripping out hundreds of meters of fencing , destroying a huge oak tree and breaking limbs of many others .. before going onto to destroy our neighbours stables … Also horses in them .. luckily all fine too .. and onto Marwell where it caused more damage .

UNBELIEVABLY we had 3 horses in these stables with a friend in with one with hers , one of our home breds .
The stables , which were bolted down ripped up over their heads horses and our friend escaped with all 3 horses thank goodness with only very minor cuts and bruising ..
It was CHAOS .. Luckily we all survived and although the clearing up and mess is huge we are onto it ..
thank goodness for friends and helpers who rallied around to help us temporarily get all our horses into our main barn ..
So stallions , mares and gelding are all housed together .. and luckily we have adequate grass paddocks ,not affected by the destruction which means they can all still go out !!!!
So it’s back to business for me
I NEED some normality 🙏🏻 🤣 so if anyone needs a dental Appointment please pm me

Today was dentist day (after two hacks in the sunshine which I feel rather smug about with all the rain now!!)

All horses behaved impeccably which is testament to Martin Walls calm style. Donnie is so nosey here he is watching Doogle’s turn! 🤣💙💙💙
