Happy Friday! Wish all my doggy customers where this laid back 🤣
Please check your 🐶 daily for grass seed. At this time of year they really get everywhere. Look carefully between TOES but also ARMPITS!
Check out the 🎥 I took today of a grass seed that had got into a dogs armpit that I was grooming. (It’s armpits were quite knotty so it only became apparent when I removed the knots and could see the skin...it’s now been booked to see the vet)
Reminder about ticks...I’ve got at least one from every dog I’ve groomed today so please keep an eye out.
Check out these two (smallest was almost latched on so body still black & small, the other had to be removed and has red body - they only become large and grey when they’re almost full and ready to drop off)
They’re fast when hungry aren’t they 🤢
Happy National Puppy Day, here’s Lola Pup a 7month old Westie/Bichon who had her first groom with me yesterday, she was a ⭐️
THE BEAST HAS ARRIVED!
My fabulous new van is finally ready to go
New van salon features:
🐾 Air conditioning & heating
🐾 Hand drier is now housed in back of van so much quieter for nervous dogs
🐾 LED lighting
🐾 More efficient water heater providing lovely warm water at constant heat
🐾 Vacuum cleaner to keep the new salon clean
Proof that my soft squidgy pressure relieving grooming table is good enough to fall asleep mid groom ❤️
Douglas proving the ‘happy hoody’ works and cuts out the noisy drier enough to have a doze 😴
GRASS SEED Vs PAWS
Please be vigilant with your dogs feet. Check between the toes after every walk if you can (I know it’s a faff and not always possible), brush out any knots and keep an eye out for evil* grass seed.
As shown in this video, knots can hide all sorts!
*grass seed is especially evil as it works it’s way into the skin and doesn’t come back out, meaning pain for pooch and expensive vets bill for surgical procedure and unnecessary antibiotics.
Happy 5th birthday to my noisy Minnie Moo ❤️💕🐶🎂
The bonus of having your dog groomed by hand (as opposed to a nasty cage drier) means I'm able to spot any problems or skin irritations, this is Chester the lovely Labradoodle who has a sore patch on his back. (In the past I've found an open wound whilst bathing that the owner wasn't aware of and actually needed stitches) #goodgrooming #dontusecagedriers
My noisiest customer, he loves a good winge throughout his groom, thank god for ear defenders, gotta love him though #theresonlyonefreddy (need sound)
