Maple isn’t with me this week at my current clients as they have 4 rescue dogs which they book Canine Adventures Northumberland for a run around every day for me as 4 is a lot to walk 😆

Something that may be out of the ordinary for some but it is an easy job for me!
Had the job of looking after these Texel Shearlings over the weekend that are heading for Kelso Ram Sales in a couple of weeks!

My diary is VERY VERY full for house sitting availability due to the racehorses being back in work, a new equine client and unfortunately darker nights…PLEASE PLEASE book in ASAP if you require any services.

I have a week in September 2025 that’s already booked and someone else asking for it aswell so PLEASE remember I have a list of clients to help

Absolutely love this place.
Great for reactive to have a run!
Also saves me getting dragged / damaging my back or shoulder more when multiple dogs need exercised

Unfortunately due to ANOTHER large house sitting cancellation ALL booking from now require a £10 per day non refundable deposit.

If this deposit isn’t paid within 24hrs I will NOT chase you for it and you may lose the dates.

Between this one and the last one it is 30 days 🫣

I’m not calling ANYONES bluff when I say I’m filling quickly.

I am making sure that I’m also at home to cover my parents time away and I also do like to be at home 🤪

Hello 👋🏼 & Welcome to my new followers. It’s great to see so many of you get in touch.

I’m Rachel, I’m a freelance groom (work with horses) and I have a 3.5yr old spayed Jack Russell called Maple.
I’ve been house sitting for about 8years for horse clients but recently it’s taken off a lot more but alot of people are hesitant to contact me via my groom page.

So, how do I work it?
My home is near Wooler but I cover the berwick/Eyemouth area. I still do horses when I house sit for you so I need dogs to be able to be left for 4 hours or they can come with me on the car.
I stay in your home (I don’t have a license to hold board dogs) offer a AM & PM walk with a lunchtime let out / small walk & company.

Prices vary depending on how many dogs you have & wether maple can come or not 😊

ALL dogs I look after MUST be vaccinated & this is one of the reasons why!

It’s not the best week here at Cheviot Vets Kelso. Yesterday we had to give up on 2 puppies with Parvovirosis. This is a devastating, for puppies often fatal, disease that we can vaccinate against. This morning we had to give up the fight for a pup with potential Leptospirosis, again, a disease we can vaccinate against. This is not only sad for the owners, it’s absolutely devastating for our team who have been working so hard fighting for these puppie’s lives. PLEASE VACCINATE YOUR DOGS ❣️🙏🏼 Not only for their own protection but also to do the responsible thing for the whole doggy population around you. Although we practice strict barrier nursing we won’t admit any unvaccinated dogs at the moment. Thank you for understanding 🐾

Thank you to everyone that’s supporting me in my extra service. I’ve been absolutely blown away by how busy I am.

Please understand that when I say I’m full I’m working 7 days a week in August.

9 days staying in my own home
4 different homes
2 blocks of 2 dates

I will read messages but nothing will be booked in or responded to until Sunday (16th July) if you’ve been in contact with me in the last 48hrs and I haven’t replied I’m sorry I’m running on empty. I’m very busy & just had a few spanner’s thrown into the works for up coming dates.
