We are devastated to say goodbye to Bertie Boy.
Bertie never thought he was a dog; he was always a boy that had to socialise with dogs. A beautiful Border Terrier that had a massive attitude, we had him as our height dog, he tried to refuse to go over jumps, until he realised that was the only way to get sausage.
Camping was his thing. He was a field dog and he loved so much about it. Let me have a wee on the gazebo, or a tent, properly rolling in the field that was his place for the weekend. He loved lying in the sunshine and baking in the heat, then going under the van.
He was a great communicator, he was really great at telling Tan what he needed, and God forbid if she didnβt understand. It would be followed by his whine that sounded like he had a puncture and then 10 mins of human questions, until the human figured out what he needed.
He ran really well for Mick much to our and Tans disgust. He was just himself!
Bertie loved being in a field off lead, with his humans. He adored flyball and camping. He passed away in his sleep, in his favourite field, in his jacket, in his tent.
God bless you, Bertie; gone but with so much attitude that we will talk about you forever, youβll never be forgotten. ππ
