Nicola has run her own small event yard based in the scenic Howardian Hills since 2015. Being motivated to ‘go it alone’ having experienced working on a large international event yard in the UK and abroad, training with Olympic German event rider Dirk Schrade. Nicola is totally dedicated to her work and has the support of her family who are close by; her yard is an ideal place to educate horses in

the demands of eventing with fantastic facilities including use of a racing gallop close by. Ultimately Nicola's aim is to ride at CCI**** level and to build up a strong enough string of horses and owners to achieve results notable enough to be selected to ride on Nations Cup teams for Great Britain. Since purchasing her top horse Foreign Encounter (Twiglet) 10 years ago, they have progressed brilliantly, finishing within the top 20 in the CIC*** at Bramham and then completing Boekelo CCI*** in 2016.
