The goal of the project is to promote urbangardening in communities and households using minimum space , sacs and re usable containers. With sponsorship from the German Development Cooperation, Mothers for Development of Nima and Hipsters of Nature is kickstarted Ghana's first-ever community multi-storey gardens. Multi-storey garden (MSG) refer to gardening is containers such as sacks, PET bottles

or cans for minimising land and water use. This project helped to set up about 100 urban gardens for 250 households and 5 schools. School gardens managed by teachers and students. With the help of community facilitators, the participants in the project experimented with several ways how to grow vegetables such as okra or lettuce and fruits such as passion fruits using locally available materials for the containers and for the substrate (compost, chicken manure, sand, gravel). Participants learned how to obtain seeds from vegetables and fruits in the market and how to cultivate seedlings from them.
