Did you know free range chickens need to be wormed twice yearly?
Other tips to prevent illness from a worm burden include, adding apple cider vinegar to their water regularly to boost their health and digestion and moving their run will also help prevent a build up of worms in the patch they have access to. However if they forage outdoors and have access to the soil they are at risk from picking up worms and so should be wormed regularly to prevent a worm burden in the flock. There has been a lot of stray dogs brought in recently that have been found on the road or strayed into people's gardens etc. Fortunately some of these are microchiped and we can easily trace the owners by scanning their microchip and phoning their owners snd letting them know their dog is safe. However, often they are not chipped and unfortunately this makes the job of re-uniting them with their owners much less likely. Please please microchip your pets, everyone loves a happy ending.

Border Collies are without doubt highly intelligent but of course that means they learn bad behaviours just as quickly as good behaviours eg they have strong inherited trait to stalk/chase which makes the the very best sheepdogs but can manifest as eg chasing cars or nipping at ankles as they try to herd children!
