The realityπ
Nova is really sad in here π All she wants is love and affection. She is such a sweet girl craving her forever home. She is not coping in here!
Is there anyone who can help her?
HOW COULD ANYONE NOT COME LOOKING FOR THEM π
Raja β€οΈ
He came into the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was never reclaimed! π
He is a whippet, approximately 2 years old!
Raja is such a sweet and gentle boy! He loves meeting new people and is super friendly! He is very affectionate and love his cuddles he would love nothing more than a couch to chill on and get lots of love with his new family! Raja is very playful and gets very excited, he gets little zoomies which are adorable! π₯°
Raja likes to go on walks and is mostly good on lead but can get little zoomies on walks! Raja loves to run around so a garden would be nice for him to have but is not essential! All he really wants is someone to love! π
Raja seems to love other dogs and is playful! He is always so excited to see them! Another dog in the home would be nice for him to have but is not essential! πΆ
Raja would be suitable to a home with children over 8 he is quite gentle but can be slightly jumpy with excitement! π
Raja canβt wait to find his new home and have lots of cuddles and walks with his new owner! π₯°

ππ’Poor Mariah is very sad here at the shelter! π’π
Please share for Mariah to help find her a home! π’
Mariah has waited so long to find her new home and she has recently gotten very sad, she lies in her bed and just wants all the cuddles she can get! π
All she wants is someone to love and cuddle up to! Sheβs an excellent cuddle buddy! π
Mariah came into the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was never reclaimed! π
She is a petite bully cross, approximately 10 months old!
Mariah is a very friendly girl! She loves meeting new people! Sheβs very affectionate and loves her cuddles! She likes to play and loves toys! π
She loves to go on walks but can be strong on lead! π
Mariah would be suitable to a home with children over 12 that are used to dogs or a home with no children! β£οΈ
Mariah seems worried by dogs, she would probably suit best to be the only dog in the home but we would be willing to do a meet and greet with another dog! πΆ
Mariah is not suitable to a home with cats!
Mariah loves her food and could be easily trained! π
Mariah canβt wait to find a new home and have lots of cuddles and walks with her new owner! π

Safe to say Mason is settling in so well in his new home! His adopters are so in love with him, he is an amazing dog!! He was a favourite here at the shelter so we are so happy to see him in his forever home π
We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! π
Last week the dogs enjoyed their Christmas Day with lots of toys, treats and Christmas dinners! π Santa Claus was very good to them!! π
They absolutely loved it so we put together a video of their thoughts about it! β€οΈ
Unfortunately we still had 45 dogs on Christmas Day that did not find homes in time for Christmas! π
But on the bright side it has been a great year, well over a thousand dogs have come and gone from the shelter! β€οΈ
Over 1,000 dogs have found forever homes with amazing people who we could not thank enough for giving a shelter dog a second chance! β€οΈ
Hopefully in the New Year we can find lots of new homes for the 45 dogs that spent Christmas at the shelter! π
Thank you so much to all the rescues out there, without you we don't know what we would do! β€οΈ
Thank you so much to everyone who has adopted from us and helped out in any way they could! β€οΈ
Most of all thank you to every single person who has liked, shared and supported our social mediaβs throughout the year! Without you many of our dogs wouldnβt have been reunited with their owners or found wonderful forever homes! β€οΈ
We would like to wish our dogs that were rehomed over this past year, a Happy New Year! β€οΈ
If you are interested in any of our dogs please see their profiles or give us a call on 0873914008 or Facebook message! β€οΈ

Poor Aoife is so fed up of waiting to find her forever home! π
She has been with us far too long! π
Aoife is only 2 years old but has already seen a lot to be scared ofβ¦ π
She has some scarring on her legs that has since healed. π
When she first came in to the shelter she was so nervous, she wouldnβt even come near us. As time went on she became so much more confident! β£οΈ
Once you bond with Aoife she will become your best friend and always be by your side! βΊοΈ
She loves going on walks and is great on lead! π
Aoife just wants a home that will give her lots of love and affection!π
She absolutely loves her comforts and adores her bed! π₯°
Aoife can be nervous of some new people, she would be best suited to a home with sensible children over 14.π
Aoife is not a big fan of dogs up close, the would have to be the only dog in the home! πΆ
Aoife canβt wait to find her new home and have lots of cuddles and walks together! π
If you are interested in adopting Aoife and feel you have a suitable home contact the shelter on 0873914008, WhatsApp or Facebook!

Christmas is coming and sadly itβs not the most wonderful time of year for everyoneβ¦ πππ
Like the majority of rescues, shelters and pounds across Ireland we are full to capacity and receiving surrender requests daily.
Please consider your local rescue or shelter if you are looking to adopt a dog. Remember that dogs are a 10 to 15 year commitment and not just a gift for Christmas!
If you are not in a position to adopt maybe you would be able to foster from one of the amazing rescues we work with π Please share this video to highlight how many amazing dogs across Ireland are awaiting their forever homes this Christmas β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Bear and max! β€οΈ
Bear is approximately 8+ years old and max is approximately 6+ years old.
We would like bear and max to be rehomed together but we would be willing to rehome them separately. π
Bear and max are two older boys that are absolute sweethearts! They likes meeting new people and are very friendly! Bear loves his toys and max loves to steal them from him! The two are pretty bonded, max in particular really loves bear! Max loves to play and is a very friendly and gentle boy!π₯°
Bear has issues with his spine and hip dysplasia, he is on pain medication that would need to be continued. π
They might be suitable to a home with another dog pending a meet and greet but we feel they would be best suited to be the only dogs in the home! πΆ
They would be suitable to a home with children over 12 that are used to dogs or a home with no children! π
They both love their food and could be easily trained! π

πβ οΈ205 days Avryl has waitedβ οΈπ
Can you help find Avryl a home for Christmas?π
πππShe is our longest resident! πππ
Avryl came into us as a stray and unfortunately was never reclaimed π
She is approximately a year and a half old.
Avryl is a very sweet girl and would love someone to snuggle up on a couch with her! She has had puppies in the past as she came in with milk but unfortunately no puppies π’
She loves her food and could be easily trained! πΎ
She loves to go on walks and is mostly good on lead but can pull at times, she would probably walk better on a harness.π
Avryl doesn't seem to be a big fan of dogs in the kennel environment but we would be willing to do a meet and greet with another dog on a meet and greet and see how they get on but we would really prefer her to be the only dog in the homeπΎ
Avryl would be suitable to a home with children over 12 that are used to dogs or a home with no children! βΊοΈ
Avryl cant wait to find her new home and have lots of cuddles and walks with her new owner! π
If you are interested in adopting Avryl and feel you have a suitable home contact the shelter on 087 3914008, WhatsApp message or Facebook messenger!

Beautiful Benji is still looking for his forever home! He is only 18 months old but clearly had very little training before coming into us.
He especially struggled around other dogs and was incredibly reactive.
But he has made amazing progress!
We are looking for a home where his new family will continue his training and allow him to become more confident and playful π
If you think you could be the right home for Benji please contact the shelter on 087 3914008 β€οΈ
Please share for Benji β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

The dog you think you're getting vs the dog you are actually getting...π
Zeus! β€οΈ
Zeus came into the shelter as a surrender as his owner could no longer care for him!π₯°
He is shepherd Γ Rottweiler, approximately 1 and a half years old!
Zeus is XXL in size!
He is a sweet and gentle GIANT! He loves to play and have a run around! But he can also be a very sweet and calm boy at times! He loves a cuddle!π
Zeus adores his food so he could be easily trained! He already knows sit, lie down and paw! He loves the ball and is great at catching it in the air! (
Zeus is lots of fun! He loves to play ball! He is great at fetch and practically passes you the ball to throw it! He loves to play and loves his toys! A fun home would be great for him!π
He loves to go on walks and considering his size isn't too bad on lead, he can pull at times though.π₯°
Zeus would need to be the only dog in the home! π
Zeus would be suitable to a home with children over 10 that are used to dogs! π
Zeus can't wait to find his new home and have lots of cuddles and walks with his new owners! π

Big Zeus is still waiting for his forever home π
Zues adores people, food and most of all his tennis ball β€οΈ
He does like some female dogs but he would need to be the only dog in the home π‘
He is getting very stressed in kennels and really needs a family and home to call his own, he has been waiting so long π
Please share to help him find his forever home π‘
John the lovely lurcher is still urgently looking for a new home! We had previously said that he couldn't live with other dogs but he was a big fan of our worried girl aoife today β€οΈ
He could potentially live with a female dog in the home pending a meet and greet π
Please share for our lovely boy John β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
On a rainy dreary November day we decided some of our longest residents deserved a treat!
All of them (almost!π€£) loved them!!
Unfortunately all of these dogs have been with us far longer than expected and with the ongoing crisis in the pound and rescue industry they are getting left behind π We *urgently* need homes for these dogs and they deserve the best!! Please please consider adopting a shelter dog, we have so many options available for every type of family and home!
John- best suited to a home with older teens/adults only, worried by other dogs so best suited as the only dog in the home
Baby Zeus- best suited to a home with older teens/adults only, could definitely live with another dog pending a meet and greet
Big Zeus- best suited to a home with older teens/adults only, ideally as the only dog in the home
Tigger- best suited to a home with older teens/adults only. Could live with another dog pending a meet and greet.
Julie- could live with kids over 12 used to bouncy dogs! Could also live with a dog who likes bouncy playful dogs!
Lurch- could live with younger kids over 7, potentially happy to live with another dog pending a meet and greet
Fred- suitable to live with children over 12 as he may knock smaller children over! Loves other dogs, could live with a dog pending a meet and greet
Bandit- older teens/ adults only, pending a meet and greet he could live with another dog. He's a beautiful dog who loves hid walks.
Please please share to help these amazing dogs find their forever homes!!!

Baby Zeus came into our shelter as the last of a litter of four brothers. His siblings Toby, Tony and Bruno have all found amazing forever homes but Zeus is still waiting π
He came into our care as a stray but his owners were unable to reclaim him. We learned that Zeus was being left alone for up to 12 hours a day π₯
Understandably Zeus has some separation anxiety as a result. We have not seen any destructive behaviours from him but he will cry when left alone π
Luckily we have contacts with some fantastic dog trainers who specialise in separation anxiety so we can help his new owners set Zeus up for success!
Zeus can be a bit nervous meeting new people so his new family may have to meet him a couple of times. As you can see Zeus very quickly made friends here in the shelter and we all adore him! His ideal home would be with older teenagers or adults only.
Zeus loves other dogs but is still learning how to play and interact. He could definitely live with another dog, ideally a calm dog who could show him the ropes! A female may suit best but it depends on the dog π
Zeus is a gorgeous boy, not even two years old! We'd love for him to be settled in his new home in time for Christmas π
Could you be the right family for Zeus? Please contact the shelter on 087 3914008 if you think you are suitable
Please share for our lovely boy β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
π DAY 256 π
Java came into the shelter as a stray on the 24th of September 2022, we think she was used for breeding. She was adopted a month later and returned to us in March. π
She has been with us ever since
Not one single person has come to see her or even message about her! We have put up countless videos and posts about Java yet still not one person has come to meet her! π
She is a bully x, approximately 1-2 years old.
Java is full of energy and bouncy! She is always on the go!
She is super friendly and loves meeting new people!π
An active home would be great for her as she loves her walks!π
Also someone who could keep her stimulated!
Java seems to like most dogs and likes to play with some, but some dogs can be too much for her. πΆ
She might be suitable to a home with another dog pending a meet and greet but we do think she would suit better to being the only dog in the home! β£οΈ
Java likes to go on walks but she can be strong on lead, she walks better on a harness! π
She would be suitable to a home with children over 16 or a home with no children, as she can be unpredictable and jumpy at times.π
She loves her food and could be easily trained! She is very food focused! π
Someone who is home quite a bit would be great for her as she loves company!π₯°
Java loves a cuddle so she cant wait to find her new home and have lots of cuddles and walks!π
If you are interested in adopting Java and feel you have a suitable home contact the shelter on 0873914008, WhatsApp or Facebook!
Please share for Java to help find her a new forever home she has waited too long! ππ
Some days in the shelter can be a real struggle but surprises like these really make our day!! One of our adopters wanted to do something nice for the other dogs in our care β€οΈ
Such a lovely gesture! We (and all the dogs) are so so grateful! Thank you!!!
UPDATE Billie bob has gone home π
Billie bob wanted to show you how excited he is that he might be getting a home tomorrow !π
