An update on our beautiful Jess..

Some of you will remember Jess, our lovely Shepherd girl who had suddenly & without explanation lost the use of her legs. She underwent x-rays, mri’s, brain scans, spent weeks in ucd vets, & still it remained a mystery. So she came home to Halle & Karl, she is free from pain, & is in the best hands possible. She is attending weekly physiotherapy & hydrotherapy sessions, & whilst it’s tiny steps all the way we are seeing small improvements in her mobility. Throughout all her treatment she has remained the perfect patient, so gentle & trusting, with a determined spirit which is so wonderful to see. There are many people looking out for Jess & we are so grateful to them all but we would like to say a special thank you to Gareth of Sharpwells K9 Hydro centre for everything you are doing to help Jess, we appreciate all your kindness. We are also so appreciative to all of you, our supporters, for believing in us, for trusting us to do what is right for Jess & for your kind donations towards her care. We promise to keep you updated on how she is doing & to you Jess..our precious angel..we will support you every step of the way. ❤️

IN FOSTER💕🐾🐾

Please please help😢
Poor Millie came into our care after her owner died💔
When she was spayed a lump was removed and she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.. We don't know how long she has😭💔
Sadly her first foster home didn't work out as she was too big for their dog😭.. Her 2nd fosterer was allergic to her and now Millie and the female dog in her current foster home are not getting on😭..
So we are literally begging for someone to give her a forever foster home. Ideally on her own or with a male. We provide all food/bedding and cover all vet costs etc. for whatever time she has left💔
Please share to help and text Kathy on 086 3696413 if you have fostered before... If not fill in a foster form below... Ideally in Dublin or nearby for vet visits.. Thanks❤️🙏

Wendy our darling walking miracle ❤️
She is now living the dream and has settled in so well with her new family. She waited so long to find her forever home but it's finally happened and we are thrilled ❤️
Massive thank you to both Sean and Jo for adopting this little sweetheart, we know she will have such a lovely life with you all. For sure she's going to enjoy living so near the beach.
We also have so many people to thank for helping her along the way and we couldn't have done it without you. So here's the list...John and Lazslo who took care of her through her operations and after care. Gareth who without his help with hydrotherapy she wouldn't have been able to walk and run 😁 the way she can now. Shirley and family who gave her a foster home for such a long time and loved her so much, Mary and Michelle who helped in her hour of need. Jimmy who took beautiful photos of her so people could fall in love. Tadgh who helped transport twice a week for her swimming lessons 😁 and cared so much about her
Also to each and everyone one of you that have shared her story and photos working with us to help her get a home, we are truly grateful
Our worry of finding a home is over xx

It's time for Wendy to find the home she deserves. Please can you help her in the search by sharing her photos.

Wendy is such a special girl ❤️
This darling braved the pound and not long in our care she had a massive setback, she couldn't walk properly dragging her back legs, so she had extensive surgery. Wendy visited the hydrotherapy pool regulary and finally she can walk. Wendy will never walk perfect she has a little stumble at times and runs other times.
So Wendy has had a tough time but through it all she has been an angel. Such a sweet loving girl.
If we could find her a home her life would be complete. Wendy is not demanding, she would love a play in the garden and hugs at night.
Can we ask you to share for her as we know she's never had much luck before now.
Please message in if you want to discuss giving her a home.

Hydrotherapy is becoming more widely available and we love it!

Here's how it works: Water makes the body buoyant, so when submerged, the weight of the body is supported. The buoyancy of water reduces stress on the joints and this creates a much safer environment than for exercise for dogs who are recovering from an injury or for dogs who suffer from arthritis.
It helps promote muscle strength, flexibility, normal proprioception (feeling) in the limbs, cardiovscular health and for a lot of dogs is simply good fun!

Protecting Pound Dogs Rescue

Bear is still looking for his perfect forever home 😥. Can you please share this post and maybe, hopefully, his new forever person(s) may see this post and message us. He is a great boy, just his homing needs are a little specific as he is a big, strong boy.

Bear is looking for an indoor home where he can relax and be close to his humans. He is 3 years old and has been living as an only dog and is a definite no with cats.

Experience of the Shar Pei breed is also needed. Bear is a sweetheart and just needs an experienced hand to help him settle into his new home.

We know the perfect home is out there for Bear and in return you will get the most loyal, loving best friend ever. And you get to see his beautiful face every day 😍
