A very MERRY AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all of our Bed & BIscuit Family and Friends.
It has been a wonderful year with lots of new doggies joining our happy gang of guests. It has been fantastic to see old and new guests happily playing together. We never tire of seeing happy dogs! There has of course been sadness and tears as some have trotted over Rainbow Bridge and our thoughts are with their Mums & Dads at this time.

DOGS AVAILABLE: Rocco - springer x wheaten terrier (15 months)

This lovely young man is in a pound in Ireland and we've been asked if we could help him - not because he's difficult, but because he's just the best dog ever and we have a hard-earned reputation for finding brilliant homes for the dogs under our wing.

Sadly, pounds don't vet applicants which raises the possibility of a less-than-great home, and he's so impressed the pound staff they've appealed for help from a rescue that will ensure he goes to the right home.

Rocco was surrendered because his elderly owners have had to move into accommodation that doesn't accept pets. He's neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated . He hasn't lived with kids but has been brilliant with visiting grandchildren. He's great with everyone in fact and is good with other dogs, too.

He is so loving that he has huge potential as a PAT (pets as therapy) dog .

Because he is urgent, and because we wouldn't be able to get him to the UK this side of the New Year, we are looking for a foster or forever home for Rocco in Ireland only.

Interested? Please PM with some prelim info about
your set up. Only homes where dogs live inside as part of the family, and where there's someone around for most of the day, will be considered.

FOSTER HOMES - IRELAND!

We currently have several young Labs in both NI and ROI in need of foster homes where we can assess them - either urgent surrenders or in the pounds.

It's breaking our hearts that we are currently having to turn dogs down because we have nowhere for them. 😢

If you are in Ireland and would be interested in fostering please do PM asap with your email and we will send you our fostering Q+A.

Minimum requirements:

• dog experience, preferably of gundog/collie breeds
• secure garden
• inside dog
• someone around for at least part of the day
• if you have dogs, they must be up to date with their vaccinations and you will need to keep them separate from the foster dog at least initially. (The dogs are often stressed when first moved and it's good to let them settle before doing intros).

Fostering is usually for around 3 weeks but can be shorter or longer. We do our best to match the dog to your set-up and we offer a ton of support.

We'd also love to hear from previous fosterers in Ireland!
