Big Dream is recovering well, he is still sore but we are so lucky to have the services of physio Sharon Kelly, this is his second session since we got him home from England. Fingers crossed he keeps improving. Thanks Sharon for looking after him so well.
Something a little different for today....... Great to get the team away for a change of scenery

Anthony's comment
"I find it hard to not look at horses by Iffraaj when I go to a sale!!! He has been a very lucky sire for me and when I saw this fellas page he was on the definite shortlist. Similar to Rockstown Girl, also by Iffraj, he is out of a Galileo mare who has produced 5 foals, 3 of which have ran and all have won. He is rated 75 and won a flat maiden, he is a strong type who I hope will make a decent juvenile hurdler. He has some lovely black type in his pedigree, we will make a plan for him, he will slot in nicely with our other ones by Iffraaj!!!"

"This fella just catches your eye, still holding his maiden tag and with a mark of 73 he should make a very promising juvenile hurdler. He has had a few promising runs over staying distances. He could be a lovely dual purpose prospect. He is the first progeny of Kingman I will have to train so I'm looking forward to see how he develops"

Great to have Jonathan Moore back with us following his recovery and rehab, looking forward to seeing him back on the track for us next week. Rockstown Girl giving him all the feels this morning. π
Unfortunately not all the horses we have through the gates at Shabra turn out to be racehorses, we make every effort to ensure that those who aren't cut out for the track have an opportunity to head in another direction. Check out Equatorial Ridge in the early stages of his retraining with George from Headds Up Equestrian, Richie as he is now known will be retrained to go eventing. We cannot wait to see him progress over the coming months.

Are you a good boy??? Yes you are!! Indian Raj ran an absolute blinder to finish an unfortunate second in a photo finish at Naas this evening. Delighted with him and it won't be long before he gets his nose in front we hope! He thoroughly deserved and enjoyed his spa when he got home. π π· π₯
While we are busy with our new hopefuls on the flat we also got to use the super facilities at Lee Valley Training Centre with two of our national hunt horses. Simply Shabra and Mokhles taking it all in their stride......
Happy Friday, luckily it looked like a warm day π€£π€£π€£π€£
Simply Shabra getting his eye in recently, we travel to The Curragh Racecourse schooling grounds on a regular basis to use their facilities, itβs a great way of giving variety to their work and bring them closer to a run!
Mother Nature decided to turn everything white in honour of Togovilleβs win last night!! βοΈπ€¦π» Quiet day at Shabra Stables for the horses and the team now π΄
Thanks to everyone who followed our posts today! We really enjoyed sharing our super facilities with you all.
A special thanks has to go to Rita and Naren Shah, who without their continued support, none of this would be possible and to all our owners thank you for placing your horses with us for the season ahead. ππ
Donβt forget we have some shares available in some really exciting horses, if you have liked what you have seen today please donβt hesitate to get in touch. We would be more than happy to answer any questions. βοΈ β
We will leave you tonight with Togoville practicing his start ahead of his run tomorrow evening at Dundalkππͺ. Iseebreeze was swapping notes with him earlier π ππ
It might be cold π₯Ά out this morning but itβs not putting off our swimmers πββοΈ today. First up in our tour of the super facilities we have at Shabra Stables is our swimming pool.
Swimming not only gives our horses a varied training routine there is some science behind why itβs good for them too
Some of the benefits of swimming include
π improve cardio and respiratory function β€οΈ
π facilities rehabilitation following injury π€
π improves muscle function πͺ
π supports fitness πββοΈ
π provides mental stimulation π§
And donβt worry after their swim they get a warm shower πΏ and onto the walker for a thorough cool down and dry.
