🐶 LAOIS SPCA DOG WALK FUNDRAISER🐕

⚜️Join us for the inaugural LAOIS SPCA DOG WALK on SUNDAY JULY 28th Emo Court and Parklands . A fun filled family day out⚜️

Walk: A leisurely 3km. It is a flat walk around the lake. It is wheelchair and buggy friendly 🌞

Price: €10 per person and kids under 16 and dogs go free.

Registration: From 1pm onward at the picnic tables in the main car park. Cash and card facilities.

What's on:
All walkers receive a free raffle ticket for a full dog groom

Meet some of our dogs for adoption

Chat to us after about fostering or adopting

Stall selling gorgeous dog collars, leads and bandanas

Bake Sale selling delicious sweet treats for the humans after the walk 🍪🍰🧁🍭🍬. If you can't join the walk join us at the picnic tables from 3pm for some delicious sweet treats.

We will be selling raffle tickets for our big raffle and the draw will take place after the walk 🎫🎫🎫🎫🎉🎉🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

❤️ All dogs are welcome and must be kept on a leash at all time. Restricted breeds must be muzzled ❤️ You do not need a dog to join, come with family and friends ❤️ We would love to meet some of the dogs who have been adopted from us

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

🐾FOSTER HOMES NEEDED..

We are inundated with calls, emails & meessages from pounds and the public to take in dogs. Without Foster homes our hands are tied. And right now we are on skeleton volunteers.
If you have a secure enclosed garden and a little extra time to give we would love you to join our team.

All costs, Veterinary and Food are covered by us. You supply a safe environment and love they may never have felt before.
If you can't foster but want to contribute towards their care that would be much appreciated.
