This is me
Hi, I'm Caroline. Dogs have always been part of my life. My first dog Socki was quite a lunatic, probably as most Border Collies are. When he was between 1.5 and 3 years old he wanted to fight every dog we met on a walk, made a huge scene and forced me to lift up his front paws to be able to hold him. I started to avoid popular walking areas and went at times where it was likely to not meet anyone. Apart from that he was a fine dog, very obedient and happy to please. Still, this was not what I imagined. Then we started Flyball training. Being obsessed with the ball, I thought this was the perfect activity for my crazy fella. And boy he loved it! After 6 weeks of going to training sessions (we haven't even seen a full Flyball track at that time) he was like a lamb on walks! I finally got the happy, cool chap I had in mind. And I didn't change anything else, I only dedicated that one hour Flyball training per week to my dog and we had fun together, learned new things and grew on the challenges. We competed in the European Flyball Championships with our team in 2011 and had an amazing time. Unfortunately Socki went over the rainbow bridge when he was only 10 years old. It broke my heart and I still miss him today. He taught Sansa everything she needed to know about 'living with Caroline' for 6 months, so she carries his wisdom and legacy. Sansa is currently learning a lot and in the process of becoming my demo dog. We're having great fun playing the games and she thoroughly enjoys the time I spend with her individually. She's more a people dog, but her confidence around other dogs has improved immensely, thanks to the games! Socki showed me that all you need to be a team with your dog is love, respect, understanding and fun. I am grateful for the inspiration and insight my dogs have given me over the years.
I want to get humans and their dogs closer to each other. It’s all positive, fun, engaging, no pressure, no competition. Just you as a team. Ultimately you will have a better relationship with your dog, they will be happier and calmer and you'll have bucket loads of fun along the way!
Our training is based on short, simple games and positive reinforcement. Through this we work on different concepts like confidence, calmness, flexibility, impulse control and many more.
I’m currently qualifying as a ProDog Trainer with Absolute Dogs, who are based in the UK and developed the games for concept training. It’s a great program with massive flexibility, so I can offer the unique approach that is required for every dog I have in front of me.
