Mouni is a 3 year old Persian Cat. She was presented to Papa's with severe abdominal pain, vomiting and bloody diarrhea. Upon further tests and diagnosis, the ultrasound revealed hyper motility of her intestines. A contrast radiograph was done which showed the obstruction of the intestine. Our expert doctors planned for an exploratory laparotomy. To our surprise we found that the intestine was being obstructed by a blood vessel and that a part of the intestine was necrosed. This condition occurs rarely. Our doctors performed an enterectomy and anastomosis in which they removed the necrosed part of the intestine and restored the continuity of the intestine! Mouni had a complete recovery and went home happy and healthy ✨

This pigeon was brought to Papa's due to lesions on the skin, beak and eyes. Our doctors diagnosed it with pox. Pox in pigeons is caused by a virus called avian pox. It can manifest as dry or wet lesions on the skin, beak, or eyes of pigeons. It's important to isolate infected birds and practice good hygiene to prevent its spread among flocks. In this condition only symptomatic treatment can be done. He is being treated for the symptoms and antibiotics are being given to him. Our doctors are also applying ointment on the lesions to help him heal faster! We are hoping he has a speedy recovery ✨

This cat was brought to Papa's at 2 am as an emergency case all the way from Electronic City. It had a severe fall from the 3rd floor. Upon examination, it was found that the cat had a cleft palate. Emergency surgery was performed where the gap in the roof of the mouth of the cat was closed to improve the cat's ability to eat and prevent respiratory issues. It was kept for observation for two days, and recovered well. It is now able to eat and drink water comfortably, and is now home✨
