The PGPM Class of '24 recently had a chance to interact with Mr. Nishant Shekhar, MD and Partner at Boston Consulting Group and author of 'The Game of Power and Passion: When Politics met Ambition in the corridors of IIT'.

What followed was an engaging session peppered with anecdotes about the challenges and learnings in the life of a consultant and fun tidbits about campus life.

Term 1 at SPJIMR PGPM for the Class of 2024 is wrapped up! From mastering the 'Just-In-Time' delivery method (turns out JIT also stands for 'Just Intense Thrills'!) to enduring the rigors of Normal curves and hypothesis testing the participants deep dived in to various foundation courses.

Balancing the books between assets and liabilities proved less challenging than balancing their Tai Chi sessions. The PG Lab, Lonavala trek and various courses like Micro Economics, Operations Management and Management Accounting kept the participants on their feet all the time.

The fantastic cohort of batch mates made even the toughest concepts bearable and the learning curve smoother. Thus the participants made the most of their peer learning opportunities.

Here's Assault Day was all about - teamwork, cohesive strategy, and timely ex*****on. Every activity required equal and active participation from every member - one minute mistake and back to the square one. The major learning from this day was that one cannot walk alone to win the game. Teamwork is an absolute must to reach the finish line. And lastly, enjoy at every step of life because fun is what turns moments into memories.

Mr. Projesh Kar, alumnus SPJIMR PGEMP/EMBA class of 2013, General Manager and National Head - Digital Sales and Online Commerce at Tata Motors conducted an interactive workshop with PGPM 2024 on career development and advancement through models like GAME and SPEAK. The workshop also elucidated hot skills for next 10 years including hard skills like AI and ML, data analysis and soft skills like public speaking, collaboration and design thinking.

The Alumni Relations Committee at SPJIMR recently hosted an engaging Vartalaap session featuring alumnus Mr. Sankalp Sinha, General Manager at IBM. The session focused on the post- PGPM career growth trajectory for PGPM participants. The speaker provided valuable insights, covering topics such as career options, debunking myths about placements, the significance of adaptability, an exercise on Thinking Out of the Box, navigating
the PGPM program, and the importance of peer learning and elective selection aligned with individual goals.
Participants from the PGPM batch (Co’24) actively participated in insightful discussions, gaining a deeper understanding of various aspects of their PGPM journey. We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Sankalp Sinha for his significant contributions to the session.
The knowledge and insights acquired are expected to empower our aspiring students in their preparation phase, helping them excel in their academic and professional endeavors.
