*Oesophageal tube placement in turtle🐢*

Oesophageal tube placement in turtles is commonly used for feeding, administering medications, or providing fluids when the turtle is unable to eat or drink voluntarily.

It's a veterinary procedure aimed at supporting the health and well-being of the turtle, especially in cases of illness or injury.
If your turtle is not eating, it could be due to various reasons such as illness, stress, environmental factors, or dietary issues.
Consult with a reptile veterinarian to assess the situation, diagnose any underlying problems, and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include oesophageal tube feeding if necessary.

CORNEAL SEQUESTRUM IN CATS 🐈

The dark brown colour change is dead corneal tissue, termed corneal sequestrum.

Surgical treatment was done in this patient.

What is Fatty Eye in GUINEAPIG ?:

A swelling of the conjunctival tissue around the eye.

What does it look like?:

A white or pink rim around the bottom or side of the eye.
Sometimes only one eye is effected, sometimes both.

What causes it?:

It’s largely an hereditary condition passed down from an effected parent.
There is speculation that it can be caused by rapid weight gain, water retention or even heart problems.

What treatment is available?:

Treatment isn’t needed unless the protuberance is restricting vision or preventing the eyelid from closing.

You should speak with a vet if Fatty Eye is causing problems.

Mother and 2 male kittens will be up for adoption in a month.

Long story short:

This mother community cat delivered two kitten on 10th october in the building which is going to get demolished by 1st week of novemeber.
Keeping the cat in the same area is not an option as many male cats are there making survival of kittens and mother cat difficult.

We are taking care of them in the clinic till they grow and are of proper age for adoption.

Both mother and kittens are healthy right now and under care of Vets.

Please note :

Mother cat will be neutered in 2 months once kittens are off her milk.

🐶Testicular torsion🐶 is a rare condition where the spermatic cord becomes twisted and compromises testicular blood supply.

➡️As a result, the testicle enlarges from edema and inflammation.

👉Clinical findings may include fever, anorexia, lethargy, vomiting, lameness, and stiff gait.

🟣 If the affected testicle is in the sc***um, it may be enlarged, firm, and painful.
🔴USG- enlarged testicle size, Doppler examination may show decreased to absent blood flow to the affected te**is. Effusion may be present around the testicle.

🟡Treatment is to surgically castrate the dog.

FELINE TOOTH RESORPTION 🙀🦷

This is a very painful condition.

40% of adult cats are affected.

But unfortunately they dont receive prompt treatment due to no awareness.

As CAT OWNERS here are signs to look out for,

🟢Difficulty in eating
🔵Dropping food while eating
⚫️Chattering jaw while eating

🔵Cat will not allow you to touch mouth etc

Honey 🐇 came in with an eye injury having Corneal ulcer, conjunctival heammorage,hypopyon (uveitis) and with no vision in that eye 😔.
Medical management was stasrted immediately.
7th day following treatment, honey regained vision with only a small corneal healing tissue-scar left🐰😇
