Mojo a Pekingese visited our clinic few weeks ago with complaint and sign of Paraplegia (Paraplegia is an impairment in motor and sensory function of the lower extremities).Amrita ,the pet parent shared her views on the diagnosis and treatment :
"The diagnosis was done spot-on by the vet, and as part of the treatment regime laser therapy for a few weeks was proposed. After 4 weeks of treatment and laser session Mojo has recovered well. Mojo still needs a few sitting but now he is independent and as pet parent its great to see my pet back in action.Thanks to the team of doctors at Cure and Care"

Our doctors at Cure and Care believe that "Continuous learning" helps understand the pace of change in this modern age and an individual has to continually learn new things to keep up with the times, with a profession, or to be competent in respective job and field.
This month 2 of our doctors participated at different important workshops/seminars in different part of the country.
Dr.Sunita Nauriyal participated in the 15th World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WASAVA) continuing education programme on Companion Animal Practice at Chandigarh from 11th to 13th November 2016. The conference had renowned speakers and delegates all over India participated in the workshop.

Dr.Sanjib Kakoty participated in the workshop on "Fundamentals in Veterinary Orthopaedics" organised by Veterinary Orthopaedic Foundation held at KNPVC,Shirwal Maharashtra from 12th to 14th November 2016.Dr.Kakoty had a hands on training on various orthopaedic methods in the workshop.Glimpses of the group is attached..

Babba,a Chow Chow breed visited Cure and Care Pet Polyclinic with complaint of fever and lethargy.Laboratory diagnosis confirmed Babesiosis positive. Babesiosis is a tick borne disease and dogs are exposed to the parasites through the bite of infected tick. Babesia infection can be mild or it can have severe symptoms.Your Veterinarian will take a complete history to identify any possible incidents that might have exposed your dog to a infection. In addition to a physical examination,laboratory test would also be recommended for confirmatory diagnosis. Babba is lucky to have concerned pet parent who immediately brought him for a check up when he was showing sign of fever and uneasiness. Timely detection and visit to your vet will help your pet recover well from Babesia and other tick fever infection. Babba has recovered very fast and he is happy and healthy again.

We have a lot to learn from the kids these days!!
A wonderful project completed by a young energetic class X boy from Dwarka,New Delhi. Vinayak Nair the young innovative artist wonderfully showcased the benefits of adopting a pet and the happiness a pet can bring to the family .We appreciate Nirmal Bhartia school to bring such topics for the school project,which helps the young mind to grow and showcase their talent.
