Suave Veterinary Services (SVS) is located in the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Region (KMTR), Jamaica, with a population of around 405,500. Carline Stanberry and Roderick Dunkley after earning their Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. The clinic focuses on small animals – most of its patients being dogs and cats with some other small pets such as birds, rabbits, iguanas, hamsters and guin
ea pigs. The clinic initially opened with 3 employees in December 2012 and now has 15 full-time employees – including one veterinarian (Dr. Marjorie Green-Pinnock), six veterinary technicians, a surgical assistant and a Clinic Administrator (Mrs. Violet Davy-Boyd). SVS has 900 patients, 10% of which are breeders or of breeding age and can reproduce twice per year. As most of these small animals have a minimum of 4 off-springs per litter and a 90% client retention we anticipate a 50% increase in our patient list per annum. With 75% of new off-springs going to new owners we expect our clientele to grow with the same intensity.
