Tips to keep your cichlid fish healthy during cold climate!

1) Feed once a day

Fish tend to slow down the functioning of their system when it’s cold! (Feed high quality protein rich diet to keep the immunity boosted-frozen bloodworm,frozen brineshrimps,beef heart chopped,prawns)
Be concerned when feeding meaty food as cooler climate would take it little longer to digestion of food(DO NOT OVER FEED)

2)~USE AN AQUARIUM HEATER~

78 fahrenheit!!

Some large scale hobbyists would find this non practical so try to maintain your room temperature warm by avoiding ventilation in the aquarium room and keeping a light bulb up! IF YA KEEP FISH OUTDOOR TRY TO GET THE TANK INDOOR-the temperature inside house is somewhat warm compared

3)AVOID REGULAR WATER CHANGES

Fishes tend to eat very little and lose appetite during cold climate. Which makes the tank more cleaner with less p**p!
Make sure you use well conditioned bacteria activated water during the small once a week 20% water change during winter! (Pro tip: ALWAYS…. haha learn yourself
