The sweetest boy @kiwitherottie When people ask me what I can do to help them train their dog, this boy has been the example these days. Grateful for him. He went from being a little baby shark naughty puppy, to a gentleman and he’s only 2 years old. Proud of you mr kiwi. Your parents have done an excellent job with you!! Consistent hard work pays off! Let me explain - for everyone who asks me if they should get another. My answer is always NO and here’s why. What you should think of ⬇️ 1. If your current dog is bored. Seek activities, ie long walks, training/obedience school , social groups, anything where you and your dog can bond outside of the house. - 2. If your dog has behavior issues, getting another dog is not going to fix that. It’s the worst thing you can do, if your dog has behavior issues, it’s because you the owner are not meeting their needs. You need to work closer with and consult a professional to correct the unwanted behavior. If you don’t have time to train one dog , you think a second is going to make it easier? Yeah definitely not. 3. Obedience training. Exercise. Spay/neuter! 4. Dedicate the necessary time for your dog. make it a part of your daily routine to exercise them. So that when they do need to be alone it’s not difficult for them. If one dog is destructive then two is going to be a tornado. Don’t get dogs if you don’t have time to raise the first one. Basically, if your dog has any issues, getting another dog to make it better does not work. A part of being a dog owner is to supervise your all day long. Not leave them to do what they please or figure it out on their own. Recipe for disaster and bad pet parenting. The only time you should get another dog, is because your first dog is super well trained, you have the time to commit to the second dog like you do for the first, and you have the budget to care for both dogs. cause you have to double the expense! Also in a time of constant migration to other countries, if you can’t afford to take one? You definitely won’t be able to take two. And abandoning them to migrate is not an option. And should never be the case. I mention this point because a lot of dogs have been left behind . And it’s heartbreaking. —— Any questions feel free to ask away :)
