Since September 2011 Hello everyone!! Sondot Pet Camp - A dog boarding centre located in Penampang/Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Sondot Pet Camp is a home-style dog boarding centre where your pets will be kept safe & attended with lots of love in our home with a country-like ambiance. We are located in Kg. Nambazan Penampang, less than ten minutes drive from Donggongon. Our Pet Camp offers an outdoor boarding concept - sun, wind, grass and lots of run - like summer camps. Having said that, our Pet Camp has an attached outdo

or play area called the Bark Place, approximately 500 square feet. Here your dog(s) can play and socialize with other dogs. If your dog(s) are not really good with other dogs, don't worry, they will still have their playtime turn (And of course, that is if you allow them to be out in the field!). We practise 'open-cage' concept in our camp. We do have cages or crates for the dogs but cages are left open at all times. This allows the dogs to choose to either rest or sleep in their beds (in cages) or simply slumber with the rest of their mates outside in the lounge. Of course, before we do so, we make sure all dogs are fine with each other. If dogs are not good with others, we have no choice but to let them sleep with closed cages and be around other dogs only with supervision or by taking turns to play outside. 🧒Shai thinks he's strong enough and could handle Hachi all by himself 😅

🐕Hachi doesn't know he's 3x heavier than Shai. One small jump with cause Shai to tumble over.

Shai ends up sulking 😅😆

It was impossible to keep the camp spotless, without traces of paw and footprints today. The rain last night caused the park a bit wet and some parts muddy. And these 2 lovelies can't stop running in and out of the camp 😆

Shai wanted to copy Zorro. So, so glad he didn't notice Zorro's tongue out. Otherwise, he'd be licking the mud off the floor 😅

Many asked, "Your kids not afraid to be with bigger (than them) dogs?"

Honestly, sometimes they get a little anxious and worried at the beginning. But they want to be with the dogs, nevertheless.

So how?

First few hours or first day, I would spend time with the dogs first. Get to know them. Let them settle down, be comfortable. Once I'm convinced, I'll bring my kids in.

Most IMPORTANT, I tell my kids all the time:

‼️No matter what the dog throws at you, STAY CALM and ASSERTIVE! Remove all unbalanced emotions and energies. They sense when you're afraid, they can hear your heartbeat.

💓 CALM PACK LEADERS, CALM DOGS!!

🤭We're not professionals, but this works for us 😊 Also, NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN ALONE WITHOUT SUPERVISION.

The 3 Gentle Giants at now; Angel, Lucky & Hachi.

Making the best of playtime today. Lucky is going home tomorrow. We're so used to having Lucky around. He's been with us for almost a month. We definitely will miss him 🥰

Captain and family prefer gentle interactions. And not very comfortable with Lucky and Angel's non-stop dog-wrestling and tugging😅 So separate play time it is. They take turns to play in the little field.
