From this tiny bundle of a baby to a real adult horse! Our first time under saddle and she handled it like a pro. No buck, no rear, no spook and most of all she was confident and trusting of me and my favorite helper on the ground Katie. 🥰

We are so so proud of our gorgeous 3yo Oregon (aka Effy)! 🦄 While she may not have come in first place in the keuring (she was the only mare against all stallions so it wasn’t exactly a level playing field), she handled the entire experience like a pro! She walked off the trailer, settled into her stall, had her first real bath ever, and walked out into a strange arena with flags and banners and the noise of the crowd like it was just another day. And, could she be more gorgeous?! Our hearts are filled to the brim 💝, and we are so excited to see what the future holds for our sweet, sweet baby girl.

Competition update! 🦄

On Sunday Silke and our two lovely Spanish ladies, Verbena Z and Deseada FL, enjoyed yet another successful outing! Verbena rocked it bringing home 2 promotion points (and a 1st place!) in her second Z2 (4th level) test. Deseada, the mighty 6 year old, held her own against the much bigger (and older!) horses in the Z1 (3rd level), and earned another promotion point! The girls are competing again on Friday, so stay tuned! 🌟

This young mare makes us proud! 🤩 We gave 3.5 yo Tigrys a few months off of riding as she was going through a huge growth spurt when we started her under saddle in August. Yesterday Silke sat on her for the first time again, and this mare acted like no time had passed! Today she rode her in the big arena for the 2nd time ever, and she didn’t blink an eye. She has such a cool, yet curious, fearless, and up-for-anything character. It is such a joy to work with horses like Tigrys! 🥰

Tigrys’ first ride in the big arena! 💃🏽 We are so impressed by Tigrys - absolutely nothing fazes this beautiful girl! It is so fun to see these baby horses blossom. Since she is still growing, we only work with her a couple days a week - but she always shows an immense desire and eagerness to learn and do more. She is already so much fun to work with on the ground and now under saddle, it is exciting to think about where her future might take her! For now, though, she gets to relax with her buddies and enjoy the rest of the summer. 🌼

Norteño RRR II & Verbena Z aka Phineas & Furb 🦄

Competition Weekend! 🏆 Today Verbena, tomorrow Deseada. We’ve decided to pack the schedule with a few close-by competitions to use as easy schooling experiences for the horses, but Verbena seemed to miss the whole “schooling” part and had her game face on today! She ended up scoring well enough to earn another promotion point in the Z1. Tomorrow is Deseada’s turn, so stay tuned! 🦄
