We are currently at the DRHA Reining Fever in the Netherlands. Took a truckload of horses from 3yr olds to Derby horses to school for the upcoming events!
Highlight of today was Lil Flashback placing Top 5 Novice Horse Open on only his first time being shown!! This horse came to us just a couple of months ago, and we could not be happier with his progress! Big thanks to the owner Pien Boots as well as Pouls Reining Horses for believing in our program!!
Miss Maggie Brown showed really well for me in tonight’s Open Level 3 German Derby Finals! Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay out of the penalty box which cost us big!!
However, we are extremely proud and grateful to the owners AK Quarterhorses who provide us with the quality of horses needed to compete at this level!!

As we are nearing the end of the year, we look back on what has been one of our most successful years!
Our biggest highlight of the year was winning the Italian Futurity in the Level 2, as well as ending up 4th in the Level 3 aboard AK Magnum Lil Wimp (Magnum Chic Dream x RX Dodson Lil Step) owned and bred by AK Quarter Horses!!
This incredible mare also placed 2nd in the German Futurity Level 2 finals one month earlier, after recovering from the Austrian Futurity tent stall disaster! It’s truly amazing how this mare performed earning over 14K in just two shows!!
After last year’s succes on Miss Maggie Brown (Magnum Chic Dream x Hollywood Footprints), owner Kyra Te Paske (AK QH) decided to let her compete in the Open Derbies for another year. Unfortunately, she got the “shipping fever” from the long haul to the Italian Derby. However, this mare recovered quickly and moved on to place Top 5 in the German Breeders Derby Finals and picked up a nice $1300.00 paycheck. Later this year she marked a whopping 220.5 in the European Derby Finals to place Top 3 Level 2 and earn another $5500.00!!
This mare will continue her career in the Non Pro at next year’s major events!!
Miss X Factor Sparks (Steppin On Sparks x Footworks X Factor) came to us late last year from our good friend Olivier van den Berg. Owned and bred by Sanghita & Dominique van Buuren, we took her to the European Futurity where she, unfortunately, picked up a severe turn penalty that cost us a spot in the finals. However, this mare continued to improve over the summer and went on to make the Austrian Futurity Finals, and placed Top 10 in the German Breeders Futurity Level 2 finals!!
MissWhiteFaceGun (Colonel Shining Gun x Lacey Olena) saved us at the Italian Derby this year. Due to Miss Maggie Brown unable to compete, and her missing the Non Pro finals, I was able to show her instead. Marking a 216.5 in the Goround placed us for the Level 2 finals where she marked an amazing 218.5 to end up
What a blast we had in last night’s NRHA European Open Derby Finals!!
Miss Maggie Brown marked a 220.5 to end up 3rd place Level 2 and 9th Level 3, taking home over $4700 for owner AK Quarter Horses!!

Back home after a strange week at the ARHA Futurity that ended somewhat bittersweet.
When our stall tent was picked up and blown away by a heavy storm, by some miracle, most horses inside suffered minor to no injuries. Unfortunately, one of our horses needed to be stitched up and will likely miss out on the Belgium Futurity next month.
Luckily, our other two horses walked out without a single scratch. So, after check ups by health professionals, we decided to go ahead and prepare them for the Open Trophy and Level 3 Open Futurity Finals.
Miss Maggie Brown (Magnum Chic Dream x Hollywood Footprints), owned by AK Quarter Horses, showed extremely well as she marked a 219.5 in the Open Trophy!
Miss X Factor Sparks (Steppin On Sparks x Footworks X Factor), owned by Sanghita & Dominique van Buuren, did not seemed to be bothered by anything that had happened and marked a solid 212 in the Open Level 3 Futurity Finals!!

This mare has come a long way this year and today was the day for the owner try her and put my work to the test 😄😄
