Join our team?
Help find another awesome person to join us at Evolution Vets.
We are looking for someone to join our vet nursing team. This role would suit someone with some experience, likes dealing with humans as well as fury patients, work between the hours of 0830 and 1700, 3-5 days a week (no week ends), wouldn't mind a bit of reception cover. Might like doing some other things like admin or even getting out to assist with some of our large animal calls.
Role is somewhat flexible in return for an awesome attitude!

It is with mixed emotions that we let you all know, Lauren will be leaving us to continue her journey to become and accountant! We are excited for her but sad to lose an awesome member of our team.
Lauren was one of the first to join with our initial crew back in 2020, as vet nurse, vet tech, receptionist, admin..... she is the first to leave us 😪
We will miss her positive, leveling influences, quietly getting $h*t done, smiling personality, and her amazing crochet skills - see Juan's Christmas tree hat - we couldn't share his crochet shorts!
Enjoy these memories we share and please wish her all the best over the next month when you see her.

This little girl was found near the intersection of Winslow Willowby Rd & SH1. She is microchipped, but unfortunately not registered in the database. Please get it touch if she belongs to you or know who she belongs to.

This big boy was brought into us this morning after being hit by a car in the Winslow area. Please get in touch with us if this is your cat or you know who he belongs to, unfortunately we couldn’t find a microchip.

Puppies aged 8-16 weeks with their first vaccinations. These classes will be held Tuesday 6pm at the clinic, starting 14th May (pending numbers) and will cover basic obedience training, information on nutrition, vaccinations, handling and grooming, dental care, desexing. It’s also an awesome place for your puppy to socialise and have fun.

$80 per puppy which includes 4 sessions, resources, vouchers and a Hill’s puppy pack at graduation. To enroll please contact us by phone or email [email protected] if you would like more information.

This is Tūī, approx 8yr old neutered female, looking for a new home. She has been an indoor/outdoor cat, a keen mouse catcher without any health issues. James, Juan (and Daisy the lab) have been having fun trying out our new equine dental gear. With our new diagnostic kit, hand and motorised floats we can ensure that your horse is getting the best use of those pearly whites!!! Depending on your horse's age, breed, history and performance use, we may recommend that they be examined every 6-12 months. Please get in contact if you require advice about your horse's teeth.

Excellent outdoor surgery set up today to neuter Bruno & Copper and give them some nose clips. They moved to a lovely fresh straw bed soon after to finish their recovery.

Meet Rufus. He is a baby Boer goat kid.
Rufus had a friend called Opal, but unfortunately Opel had other ideas and tried to eat Rufus.
Poor Rufus almost lost his tongue in process, but luckily our team were able to stitch things back together and he was soon drinking from his bottle again. He is now weaned and doing really well.

A new chapter for Evolution Vets - week 1+2.
Work has begun on our new home, and we are excited to see and share with you how things progress over the coming months.
Since fitting out our current clinic in 2019 we have grown to the point where we could do with a bit more space for us all, and also to be able to offer new services to our clients.
Our current landlord Tricroft has been awesome, accommodating our needs as we grew into more of their building. It is because of Tricroft and bumping into them at Cleavers one evening, that we now find ourselves in what should be our forever home.
We will keep posting photos over the coming weeks.

‘Tis the season… of barley grasses! This is our second barley grass just this week so it’s time to start checking your pets. The most common places to find barley grasses are paws, ears and armpits, so check your dogs thoroughly after any walks through long grass and keep long haired dogs trimmed up!

If you suspect your dog may have a barley grass (lameness, head shaking etc) give us a ring as getting them out sooner rather than later is always best!

- Do you have enough medication for your pet?
- Do you have enough food for your pets?
- Do they need any vaccinations for boarding facilities?
