Meet Marta❤️
(the 3rd of the FIFA felines)⚽️

This family team of strays were trapped by a lovely client in Picton. After time in foster with our SVC crew, they are now ready for wonderful homes!💚

Marta is around 5 months and loves cuddles, cats, dogs and kids! She is a tiny wee girl who will likely always be small for her age and she is OBSESSED with water..splashing her little heart out on a daily basis!💧

As usual, an adoption fee applies and this covers her desexing, microchipping, vaccinations x 2, and her first flea and worm treatment. If you are interested in this sweet little girl, please see our lovely ladies at reception. 🐾

Sadly we have had 2 deceased tabby cats brought in to the clinic.

One female short haired, found at Mayfield Kindergarten, no microchip. Nice healthy coat so likely owned.

One male short haired, entire, no microchip. Found between Rapaura and Selmes Rd.

Ronaldo absolutely fell in love with one of our clients (and vice versa).He has found himself a wonderful home!💚

Messi also found an amazing young family where he can play til his hearts content! Good luck little guys 👋

First up, we have Ronaldo and Messi! 🤩
Both around 5 months old and comfortable in the presence of dogs and cats.🐾

Ronaldo is a bunter, loves his cuddles and to play. He can be shy at first but quickly relaxes and loves belly rubs. He seems happier and more confident in the company of other cats.

Messi also loves to smooch, cuddle and play. He however can be quite bossy to other younger cats and doesn’t like to share his food or toys 🤣

As always, an adoption fee applies and this covers their desexing, microchipping, vaccinations x 2 and their first flea/worm treatment.

Pop in and say hi if you think one of these handsome boys might be for you. Their sister Marta and other siblings will be up for adoption over the next few weeks too 😊

It's Dog Registration time! 🐕🐾
Make sure you get your dog rego paid before July 1st 2024!

The dog registration year runs from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. All dogs over three months old must be registered with Animal Control. Forms for the 2024/25 dog registration year will be sent to the owner’s last known address by the start of June.

There are changes to the fees this year, which you can see here: https://links.marlborough.govt.nz/dog-registration-fees

You must notify Animal Control if:

- Ownership of your dog changes
- Your dog leaves the district
- You have a change of address
- Your dog dies

- End of May/early June - registration renewal forms sent out

Update as of 2/6/24 Lucy has finally found a lovely family and been adopted!!!🥳🙌💕🥰

Meet beautiful Lucy 🩷
Lucy has been a huuuge challenge but finally she is ready for a wonderful new home!

Caught as an older and super fiesty stray kitten, she has been in foster for a few months. She is now 6-7 months old and once settled, is smoochy and totally comfortable around calm dogs and older cats. (see vids in comments)😻

She is however, still a little unsure of loud noises and fast moving humans so a quieter home with no young children would suit her best. 🫶

Lucy has been in the reception at the clinic for a few days this week and hated it sooo much she became quite miserable. One hour back in foster tonight though and she is full of affection and zoomies!!🐾

It's been a busy time of giveaways lately at SVC!

At last month's Earth Day Picnic in the Park by Envirohub Marlborough, we ran a small display & competition encouraging sustainable pet ownership. Our 2 talented winners were 5 year old Kate (pictured) and 4 year old James who won their families a $50 voucher for Springlands Veterinary Services. 💚Congratulations guys and a big thank you to all those who entered..it was a hard decision! 😜

Meet Winter & Snow 💙
This handsome duo are ready for their forever homes.. is that at your place? 😉

Befriended and caught as strays by a kind client, they are around 10 weeks old and relaxed with dogs, cats and kids. 🐶

Winter (black mark on his head) is deaf and he is to be rehomed as a strict indoor or catio home only for his safety (and sun protection).
Snow can hear and see just fine but is recommended (not compulsory) to be an inside cat for sun protection. ☀️

As per usual, there is an adoption fee that covers their desexing, microchipping, vax x 2 and their first flea/worm treatment.

One male tabby kitty found on New Renwick Road by Burleigh Park. Around 5 months old, desexed and no microchip.

One male black kitten found on Kapuru Rd, Lake Grassmere. Around 6 weeks old, entire, no microchip. Likely feral but just in case...?

Update as of 7/5/24. Dijon, Deja, Dodo AND mum Autumn have ALL been adopted 🥳🙌

Meet Dijon, Deja, Dodo and their mum Autumn 🍁
These 8 week old babies and their mum have been with our team for 4 weeks and are now ready for wonderful homes🧡

Autumn was a stray being fed and cared for by a kind elderly client of ours who was due to move into a retirement home. On the day before he moved out, she appeared with 3 beautiful kittens and settled them in his empty kitchen cupboard. Understandably he was we quite stressed and upset and reached out to us for help.🥹

Autumn has been the most AMAZING mum, raising and fiercely protecting 3 healthy kittens and even adopting and doting on a 4th that was extremely sick. (Pic 4) She is a gentle soul who loves affection and snuggling up on anything soft. She has likely had many kittens in her 2 years of life and now deserves her own happy ending as she gains weight and condition. She is great around other cats and dogs (now that her kittens don’t need protecting) but a little unsure of loud children. She is still in foster with our team so please message our page if you would like to meet her🐾

Lucinda (scroll back down the page) is also now back in foster as she still patiently waits for someone to adopt her 🙏😢

Dijon (tabby male), Deja (torti female) and Dodo ( black male) LOVE everything and everyone. They are at the clinic ready and waiting 😻

Meet Hoki 💚

Hoki is pure love!
From day 1 where he was trapped as a stray, emaciated, wounded and fish coated kitten out at Talleys, to today (day 32), he has purred continuously! 🐾

Nothing gets this special boy down and he LOVES cats, dogs, kids and most of all cuddles! 💕

After lots of TLC from our team, Hoki’s leg wound has now healed leaving a small scar and one toe that sits slightly higher than the other. He is also working on adding a little more weight but he is almost there! 😻

As always, there is our standard adoption fee for Hoki but the amazing team out at Talleys would like to support this little fella ( and his sister Clover) so details to be arranged. 🤩

Update: As of 12/5/24 Lucinda has fiiiinally found a super lovely family to call her own! After a trial period, they fell in love with this quirky kitty and have welcomed her permanently into their lives. Congratulations Lucinda (now Luna)!! 😍🥳

Meet Lucinda❤️

This gorgeous girl was trapped as a wild kitten by one of our lovely clients. After lots of TLC and being immersed in a busy household, she is soooo ready for a wonderful new home🐱

She is around 6 months old, and with a patient new owner, will be the most awesome wee addition to any household.

Lucinda LOVES other cats.. almost obsessively!! ( see video below of her in reception) She likes dogs too but can sometimes be a little unsure of people. When there is another cat around, she is full of smoochiness for humans so she MUST go to a home with another cat for her humans to enjoy her confident and affectionate side.
