Whoooosh, that was FAST!

Thank you to everyone who showed interest in our sale, we sold out already! Thanks to the awesome people who have bought us out, helps us as much as you, no doubt!

We have no more fish, we do have 2 AquaOne Ecostyle tanks, roughly 21-27L. If anyone is interested these will go cheap. 😁

Again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us through everything, and encouraged us, it meant so much. Very sad to see it all go, but excited there's a few knowledgeable people out there continuing our Pure Crowntail lines, looking forward to seeing the Crowntail market grow! 😁

Bubble Betta NZ is shutting down! We're having a baby so our time for breeding will be non existent unfortunately, but exciting new adventure for us!

SO, everything must go! We have tanks and fish available, discounted for fast sale! We are not shipping anymore so this is a Christchurch only sale, sorry to all our national customers!

Please don't ask for photos, if you're interested in tanks or fish, your best bet is to come have a look, bring a tape measure if you want dimensions of tanks.

A huge thank you to everyone who has followed and supported us over the last few years. Simply Fish has taken some of our best breeding stock to continue on our quality, pure Crowntail lines, so head over and check out his page if you'd still like a chance to own some quality Crowns!

Another happy customer! Repeat customer at that! Lucky Stevo purchased one of our beautiful, dark/red Crowntail boys. So off we went shipping down South. It went perfectly, as it usually does. Fish arrived safe and happy and Stevo is very happy with his newest Betta. 😁

Just as a reminder to all, we do ship! However we do have a $70 minimum purchase price to make the price of shipping worth it for both you, the customer, and us.

Hello followers and Betta lovers!

I just want to make a small post about the photos of fish. Below, you'll see 2 photos. Believe it or not, same fish!
Betta aren't easy to photograph, it takes a lot of time and patience, we have a photobox specifically for trying to get the best photos possible (first photo) but often they flare better in a more natural environment (second photo).
So I assure you, even though we don't have the most beautiful photos of all our available fish, that does not mean they aren't stunning when they show off! It just means they don't want to play ball when we're trying to get the nicest pictures. 😅

We will, of course, continue to try get better, nicer photos of all our Betta. However please don't let the less impressive photos put you off! I promise once they're settled into a nice tank, and getting plenty of interaction with their new person (will it be you?!) they will show off for you! 😊

It's proven a very difficult task, but finally managed to get good pictures of the dark boys flaring! Very happy with these.

We do have a couple dark boys similar to the ones pictured available, so if you like what you see and would like to house one of these yourself, message the page for details! 😁

Delayed Merry Christmas to all! We hope everyone had a great Christmas with Family and friends! Wishing all a great New Year!

This year we're aiming to have a variety of colour of Pure Crowntails available! All going well we should have some ready for new waters in March/April. 🤞

We'll also be running a competition early in the New Year! Keep an eye out for that to earn yourself a free Betta to occupy your tank! 😁

We are not currently shipping over this busy period, tis' silly season after all! However we'll resume shipping January 15th, 2024!

We are also slowly starting to jar our next batch of pure Crowntail males, so they should be available mid 2024! 🤞

George is definitely breeding age, and readiness now. He has been having a break in my small side table tank as he started clamping and quite lethargic. However, after a month of rest, good food and attention, he's looking great! Gonna feed him up really well for a week or two, and try putting him with a female again. 🤞🤞

Update on the pure Crowntail babies! They're growing very well, getting a variety of live foods, and starting to get very active in hunting when they're hungry! Love watching these guys grow.

They're developing their base colour too! You can see which ones will end up lighter (white babies) and which will end up darker.

Will put pictures of the parents in the comments. 😊

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the growth in this boy. George.

George got his name due to a moment of forgetfulness, and it just stuck. 😅

He's still got more growing to do, and should hopefully colour up a bit more, but I'm so very pleased with him! My favorite of our Radar spawn. I've also put a couple photos of him when he was a lot younger, to show the fin growth. 😁

I've included a photo of Radar, to show how similar George is to his Father. 😁

Some updated photos of the last few males we have available from our Venom spawn. They're really coming into themselves, nice fin growth, colour coming out more, starting to enjoy people interaction.

These guys would make awesome wet pets. If you're interested in any, flick us a message. Must go to make room for the up coming males in our next spawn. 😊

Our awesome boy CoalFire is looking for new waters! 🌊

Unfortunately, he hasn't taken to being a breeder like we had hoped. He's been fed up on the best food a Betta could wish for, and is in great condition. He's a very happy, healthy fish that loves people interaction. Will be sad to see him go, but need to free up space for our upcoming males.

Hi all!! We've been breeding Betta a wee while now, and have built a small client base, however we really want to build on this! We needed a proper name and page to do that, after talking with a few good friends we agreed on Bubble Betta NZ, and a friend designed the logo for us. At the moment we're focusing on Crowntails. We have bought in a few very nicely bred males to help us start, and have our first spawn --Samurai x Crowntail-- available for viewing now. We also work closely with other NZ Betta Breeders to ensure we're keeping fresh genetics coming in, sharing any genetics worth carrying on, and just trying to improve the Betta selection in NZ in general.
