Daycare parents, we will be closed next week on Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th and Friday 15th. I’ve spoken to most parents and will speak to others tomorrow, will be back to normal the following week.
Also we are going to take a break over Christmas this year, dates to be confirmed but at this stage I’m thinking last day will be Friday the 20th of December. And most likely back on Monday the 6th of January. It will also be the same for grooming, so if your dog is needing a groom before that please get in early as there’s already quite a few booking in December.
Thank you for everyone’s support, it’s definitely a rewarding business and so nice to be so appreciated.

Dora’s delights, dog treats. These were at the Greymouth expo a wee while ago and were pretty popular, I’m thinking of bringing some over and maybe stocking these treats here, how much interest would there be please. Listed are what’s available in the bags which retail for $10.95 each.

Daycare dog mums and dads, just a wee heads up Labour Monday we will be closed.
Also the same week we will be closed on the 31st of October and the 1st of November which is Thursday and Friday. So only open the Tuesday and Wednesday of that week and only very limited availability for dogs to swap days I’m sorry. Back to normal the following week 😊😊

This is so important. Puppy introduction to grooming. Yesterday wee Archie at just 5 months old had his first haircut as that coat was so long.
He’s been coming every few weeks which started at 10 weeks of age, and this has set him up to accept grooming as a part of his life. He’s such a good boy and was lying asleep on the grooming table while I was blow drying him, even his head. This means I can enjoy my job even more when they are this relaxed, and first time with the clippers on his body, he’s still wriggly as puppies are but we managed to get a neat job for his first time. He’s lucky to have such a great mum setting him up for life the right way. Any dog that’s going to need grooming later on in life should have the experience as a puppy, even those needing a bath and blowout, it’s way less stressful when they are accepting of it.

Hello everyone, Ive had many people asking how our week away was. So here it is. We had an amazing successful week away with our dogs together and some very impressive wins.
Sonic won best of breed over 20 Siberians at the first show, then on to reserve best of group and best New Zealand bred in show. So proud of him. At the spitz breed shows out older girl Monkey was shown by her 11 year old handler and they won best veteran in show.
And both Tala and Monkey were shown by there young handlers first there finals in there heats and Arvia placed 2nd with Monkey. And Anya placed 3rd with Tala. Such an amazing time away with great friends as well but we are happy to be back too. As you can see by the last photo the boys are keen to see who’s arriving for early drop offs once again 😂😂

Groom customers. Just a wee note if you dog is getting due for his or her groom in the next few weeks it would pay to message me soon. I only have a couple of appointments available next week, the week after I have appointments myself and grooms already booked in so only one day available then I’m away from the 31st of August and back on the 9th of September. The week I’m back will book up fast so please get in touch soon to plan ahead so you don’t miss out. 😊

Omg how cute is this wee man, I had the pleasure of giving wee Archie his very first puppy groom today, he’s just 14 weeks of age. This is the perfect time to get puppies used to the grooming process. He was such a good boy and will come weekly for more sessions to help get him more use to the process. Such a sweety and super cuddly, and his awesome mum is setting him up well for the future.

Daycare owners. Please please please can you close the gate when you leave after drop off or pick up even if the gate is open when you get here, we are on a main highway and it’s crucial this is closed. Sometimes we get two or three people in for pickup at the same time and I understand you ask each other but please close the gate if you leave and no one else is here.

Fun on the new piles of gravel

The day care kids had some extra fun today on the new piles of crusher dust and gravel that were dumped off late yesterday, clearly they think this is the new play area. Lol they sure love something different. It was so much fun watching them on there.

The guys get the zoomies once again, got to love a good game of play like crazy, just love how well these guys all get in together.

Well behaved on the grooming table

This is why I go on so much about introducing puppies to grooming at a young age. Flame is nearly a year old and he was introduced right from the start. Not 5 or 6 months for his first groom, dogs like this make our grooming much easier, he goes to sleep during the process. If your dog is a breed that’s going to need grooms on its lifetime then track out and start as early as you can so they cope better. First experiences get them use to being in the grooming room, on the table, on the bath and happy about the process, they are way more relaxed as all of my guys are during the process.
